How do you play feudal war?

The setting you chose will be very difficult for someone who is not familiar with the map to win. Try making a game that isn't assassin. Also it's often good to try new maps with no fog so you can see what's happening.

there are many different strategy's for fog and esc. Fog is different from sunny, esc is different form flat and and no spoils, so try a lot of them out and see which one you like the most.
