It's sigma. And it means the sum of a series of terms in Riemann sums.

Correct!

?60: It's time for the first VENGEANCE question. Army of GOD is in the lead and a quarter of his points are at stake! Army of GOD is gonna PM me the name of his favorite CC map and you have to guess it! Each person can have up to 2 guesses each. The first person to guess it wins his points! I'll let you know when AoG has sent me his answer. The deadline for this question is anytime I feel like, so guess sooner than later. If no one guesses his favorite map in time, AoG will take 10 points from each player!

I remember reading this in one of the threads...I don't remember which one though.

Ah found it...

However Lunar War has three makers: natty_dread, isaiah40, and gilligan. Unless you've changed your mind since then.

Gilligan did the xml, but I was looking for natty_dread and isaiah40, the original mapmakers ;). (Don't tell Gilligan)

Well at first i did what i always do, launched head-first into it by making another inscribed quadrilateral inside the circle cause we'd know a few more about this little guy and he'd still contain the angle, but that didn't exactly work.

So then i just realised that due to the tangents from a point to a circle being equal thing the sum of the two opposite edges/arches/angles equals the sum of the other 2 opposite edges/arches/angles. So if you name the angles clockwise, 70,y,x,z you'll have two relations:

70+x+y+z=360(obviously)
70+x = y+z

So 140+2x = 360 => x = 110. hopefully

Edit: I'm guessing you did it in a sexier way.

Also, have responded to 3 questions and I'm third. :lol: I'm only going to respond to questions i find interesting and that haven't had a full, correct answer yet. You know, basically I'm giving myself a handicap so you other guys a fighting chance. No need to thank me. 8-)

Never heard of this before.

Is that it? The notation on the picture is confusing considering they don't define what capital A,B,C,D are...interesting theroem though. My advanced algebra/trig teacher failed me for not teaching me this when we did circle geometry =(
