Exp Commentary

Postby IcePack on Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:09 am

Greetings!

I joined CC 2-3 months back so haven't been around very long. But I have been enjoying the time here immensely ever since.

I became premium after the first day, because 4 games just wasn't enough...:/
I started slow testing the waters, then jumped in with both feet.

What I'm wondering is from the CC crowd to preuse my record / games n see if they see any areas I need to improve, game types I should focus on and get more exp etc. and any constructive feedback on what I've done so far would be appreciated.

It's easy for me to join what I've been invited to or start up but I'd like a few outside opinions on how I'm doing. :) that's all.

Cheers mates,
Icey

Well you seemed to have done as many, started off on classic. Unlike me though you played both escalating and flat rate, which is very good. I played only flat rate in the start and that put me at a disadvantage when I sought to widen my horizons :)

As you seem have have located some experienced team players to play with and have games on varied maps up atm there isn't so much to say. This what you should be doing, trying out different maps and settings, and if your looking for a future in the clan realm, focusing on training your team game skills with steady partners of experience.

I'd suggest totally stepping out of your comfort zone, classic, and just playing other maps. Even if this has you drop to Sergeant, or even corporal. When your starting out, seeking a bit of recognition and wanting to get your name out there, it can seem embarrassing to be low ranked, but truth be told most colonels will much rather play will a skilled sergeant than a fellow colonel of same skill. It's a matter of profit margin.

Personally I'd suggest starting as many of your games as you can, letting anyone join, no complaints that way. Continually farming newer players, or ambushing much higher ranked teams for points margin won't get you smiles and handshakes :P That's a highly subjective opinion though, and I know many wring their points from the system by any means available. everyone has to make their own call on this issue I suppose :)

So from one nub to another, good luck, have fun, and see you at the top one day 8-)

Thanks for taking the time to review n post mate. :) I'm still always trying new maps, though I admit I still have classics going. Mostly just for entertainment n time killig purposes.
I really appreciate it, I'm going to keep expanding maps n start doing more assassin n fog games I think. But wanted a few more viewpoints.
Cheers,
Ice

As a monkey who rarely steps out of his comfort zone---I'd suggest this as well. But take it for what it's worth, since it isn't something I do. :D But if you are wanting to expand your horizons, it is a good way to go about it.

It depends on what you want to get out of the site. If you are interested in having fun, I think you are there already. If you are looking to make life-long friends, I don't know what to tell you. If you want to learn something join the Society of Cooks. If you want to be a part of a club, join a clan. If you want to shoot the breeze, read the forums and post stuff.

If you think the number of points you have in CC defines you as a person, or need to affirm your existence by being the Conqueror (not that there's anything wrong with that), watch and learn from better players.

If you want to lose all control of your free time, play more games.

Whatever you do, have fun at it.

Oh yeah, and get yourself a good avatar and signature so people will recognize you.
