hey guys

how r u all, been a long time fan of risk but seeing there are not many risk players around me i dont get a chance to play much, i would really appreciate if some of u who have the time could give me some hints on some game tactics....it would really be appreciated

Hmm, save sets in Escalating games till last (get a card whenever you can)

Go for contients in Flat Rate or No Card games, but essentially ignore them in Esc games.

Dont miss turns just for the extra troops, no-one will like you for it.

And various other things like that.

Also: If you ask why Sumatra dosent connect to Brunei, you will be taken out back and shot.

Don't go for continents besides Australia & South America in the beginning of the game, everybody will team up on you

Play with a few of the top players and you'll soon learn what to do and what not to. I would offer to help except for one problem - I'm not a top player! :lol:

Don't attack if there's no advantage. Balance the amount of troops you use to conquer a territory/continent with the benefits you receive.

thanks guys really good stuff, by the way playing drunk does have its advantages, one is if u lose consistantly u wont mind til the next day(mind u hangovers will make u feel worse about the idea) also your proned to take more risks being drunk.....and also the occassional "FAAAAAAAAAAAAARK" and "i love u " shall slip from your lips.....i dont see any negative in all of this......i love everyone

I go for continents in escalating games( but only the small ones eg. Aurient in Discworld. check my game 272259, then I conquer another small continent (XXXX), then another small one(rim islands). SO basically my strategy is instead of squabbling over the biggest bonus, get the small ones, while that player is fighting for the large one, and then slowly build up. this didn't work in my doubles game: I got killed everywhere else and then my only continet was kinda conquered. Luckily I'm not eliminated yet: I have one more territory.

So going for small continents has its risk.
