Idk, I'd kinda agree. No one's saying that internet connection is the be all and end all, but it does make a difference. The fact that it takes me ages to get my moves done is just a small indication. I'm never going to be any sort of brilliant player simply for that reason. A person can only be a good freestyle player if he has a good internet connection. It doesn't necessarily mean it makes him good but it's something that allows him to be good. But then when it comes to separating that, then I readily admit that other issues come into play, and thebest is one of the best at them. I've seen him in action so I can easily congratulate him on his skills, and he is a very brilliant player. I just don't see any resign to malign lovo when he hasn't been incorrect in what he said.

But anyway, I think there's already been a discussion thread on this, so no reason to bring up old thorns. Congrats tb, and I wish you the best of luck in reaching conqueror

Im not trying to malign lovo. Lovo is trying to malign thebest, and all freestyle players in the process with his comments. Im just pointing out how ridiculous his statements are.

Cry about your connections somewhere else. This is a congratulations thread, and Hed beat you with a slower internet connection than you. I know mines faster, and I still cant keep up with him.

And you were never a freestyle player, if you think the internet connection is anything more than a prerequisite to play...it means nothing for success.

I really dont remember any more than 1 time that i should have won but lost. It was so dumb of me too, i had 2 stacks to your 1 and a partial and then let myself get trapped because i thought we both had 2 and it was like 4 am. Either way clearly you have my number and i win like 85% of my games on those settings.

LV has admitted that THEBEST is one of the best in his chosen field and has only stated what others have, which is that a good internet connection is important in order to capitalize on the skill. He has made several attempts to clarify his meaning which is, in essence, that he agrees with you. Yet the only thing you can think to do is to attack him personally? Seems there's something more going on here than just a small misunderstanding of what LV meant by his initial comment. Do you have a crush on LV?

I guide you back to his very first post, which was congratulating him soley for having a fast connection, insinuating this is the only thing he deserves congratulations. Am I being hostile perhaps, but its only to counter his hostility, or jealousy, or as I pointed out, inaccuracy. I myself would have very much enjoyed seeing this thread just be congratulations as most should be...when they arent and someone throws a snub into it, and an unjustified one, I doubt very much they expect it to go unchallenged...especially when, as in this case....its just absolute bullshit. Thats not hostility. Its just how I see it. Any other word, would be a lie. And as I said, as a mod, him essentially downplaying his insinuating freestyle, a very, very popular game setting to many, is embarrassing. Again, perhaps that seems hostile, but its meant to be educational.

congrats to the best712. he's now probably the most successful and famous person to come from belgium. i must admit i'd never heard of him until i saw this thread but you have to respect his quiet and honest climb. for him to say sequential is all luck is rubbish though, unless he's referring to 1v1.

First and foremost congratz at making Conquer, nice to see some one new at the top of the pile.

I think this freestyle v sequential arguement has arose many times. Both games are worlds apart from each other. internet speed only allows certain people to compete with each other at the very top level. (I am not taking from the other attributes needed to be as good as our new conquererin anyway) I am not one of these people so am only able to play sequential at a competitive level. I think the case has been made and should be brought up again that there should be 2 scroreboards. 1 for freestlye & 1 for Sequential. It is only fair and I don't think it would be hard to do, as it is possible to map rank. but I do think both should be displayed.

Once again congratz, might see you in one of my sequentials once your bored at sitting at that dizzing height

That was back with double turns, not too much help on mogul but it certainly gave him an edge.
