Cashing in spoils

Hi guys,

Quick question from a (relative) newb. In some games, it seems like if you knock someone out on your turn, you can then cash in their spoils IMMEDIATELY, i.e. on that same turn. But in a game I just played on the Montreal board, I knocked someone out but then could not cash in the spoils I got from him on that same turn, even though it gave me a complete set.

You need more than 5 cards during the middle of your turn to cash in. I usually only try to eliminate people who will allow me to trade in cards in the middle of my turn.
