Game Unbalance - missing turns

Postby RADAGA on Thu May 27, 2010 7:44 am

I dont know if this is the proper place, but...

Concise description: Being last in a round ultimatelly causes one to miss turns.

Specifics: The problem happened with me yesterday: I was last to play a round. Then no one played for 11 and a half hours. I could not play because 12 hours have not passed. Well, the problem happened that moment, when the office closed, and I had to go before I could play the turn.

13 hours later, when I came back, I found out I had MISSED last turn. SO, I had to sit for 11 hours without being able to play, and because my opponents took that long to show up, I got punished by missing a turn. People who cannot connect at any given hour to play can suffer from this, even being exploited by this. Example: If people in that game figure out I cannot connect to CC at night, they will not play during the day themselves, and therefore make me miss turns on a sistematic basis (I am NOT saying this is or will happen, I am merely pointing a possible exploit point)

SUGGESTION> reduce the time one must not play after being last to 8 hours, or something like that. 8 hours, in my oppinion, is enough for someone to notice turn have passed and show up to play.

There are speed games that have 5 minute turns for those who buy premium.

How are you unable to take a turn with 24 hour turns? Even if you can't play at night, you would be able to play during the day. If you take your turn at 10 am you would have until 10am the next day to take your turn. The problem is you took your turn at say 10am and then didn't check again until 11am the next day. If you check at the same time everyday you will avoid missing any turns.

Yes, I know all of this, I am NOT complaing or anything like that. I was merely making a suggestion> those who can only play at office, or those who cannot play at office at all may suffer from the 12 hour lockdown. Reducing it to work hours make people who can only log during the day (or night) play and not miss turns due to being locked by their opponents.

You can only access at home> you arrive at home, make a turn, go to sleep, 10 hours later, you wake up, make a turn and go to work.

You can only access at office> you arrive, play, wait till leave time, play, go home, rinse and repeat.

12 hours make this routine impossible.

But hey, feel free to do as you wish, as I said, it was merely a suggestion, not a complain or request. You dont like it/dont care about it, no sweat.
