Multi phase games?

Postby Halmir on Thu May 27, 2010 5:06 pm

Concise description:
  • The standard game cycle is reinforcements per region/deploy/attack/reinforce from existing. This suggestion adds a new twist

Specifics:
  • This would create a sequence where it's reinforcements per region/ deploy/attack/reinforce from existing/attack/reinforce from existing/attack/reinforce from existing etc until you're done attacking however there is no final chance to reinforce once attacks are complete.
  • You can thus shuttle armies about and launch new attacks for as long as you want, however you need to judge this carefully as you HAVE to end with a final attack, there's no 15 iterations of trucking troops about everywhere. If misjudged u could leave yourself wide open with gaps in the line, as you don't get the chance to close them with an Unlimited reinforcement.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • an entire new strategy is required

An interesting suggestion, but it seems a little confusing. I'll read it a couple more times after I've had a bit of a sleep. Seems like it would be very difficult to code/implement.

Cheers, JB ;)

sounds pretty cool, though it would make sweeping on a map much easier.
