the day was a matter of ups and downs as people tried to find a member of the rebellion to lynch. then one rebel stepped up and said listen i have a plan if the citizens and vader will join us in the rebellion we will have enough men to overthrow the emperor, despite the remaining storm troopers and the intel agent, then it was discovered that darth vader had already joined the rebelion after luke, his son convinced him to turn and with that the citizens joined in and the mob quickly overcame the unfortunate storm trooper who was sent to disperse them.

day 7, is the start of a new day, the emperor has been killed and the rebellion has one, although it is not the victory that they had hoped to achieve the empire still survives in a few of its officers who will continue to try to rule even though it is now seen that the rebellion will always win.
but before the new government takes hold to tell you how it ended.

darth vader, aka anakin skywalker while out doing the emperors bidding met his son luke skywalker, who with a little persuasion was able to turn vader back to the light and convince him to join the rebellion. after vader joined he went to confront the emperor to destroy what he once supported, on his way to the emperors chambers he came across a dead storm trooper with a holorecording device in his hand, curious, vader took the device and played back its message, this is what it said
my name is duday and i am a storm trooper, and since it has become apparent to me that the empire cannot win out over the rebellion i have decided to take my own life rather than to live in a world without the empire or to be shot down by rebels.
and with that the message ended, vader his curiousity ended continued on his way, and at last he entered the emperors chambers, darth sidious looked up and said "my friend why have you come here when you should be out hunting down my enemies"
vaders replied by engaging his light saber and saying "i will no longer serve you"
sidious replied "so be it"
and with that vader launched into an attack, but before vader had covered half the distance sidious had raised his hands and let forth with sith lightning vader tried to block it with his lightsaber but was just a hair to slow, the lightning struck his chest and hurled him back across the room to slam into a wall, sidious kept up the lightning for a few seconds more before releasing it to allow vader to fall to the ground. as sidious looked upon the burned body he said, "such is the fate of those who defy me" then sidious turned to leave the room and to find the remaining rebels, when he heard a noise and turned hands ready to blast whoever had moved, he only saw a flash of red as vaders thrown lightsaber flew across the room to bury itself into sidious's chest, "no, no i cannot be defeated" sidious cried, only to slump to the floor, dead, vaders last rasping breath replied "i just did" before he to expired.

Well that was a bit unexpected. Anyways as you can see I was C3P0. Me, koesen and Fuzzylogic were in a mason group together but had no idea as to the identity of any other rebel forces until Day 5 and weren't able to communicate until night 5. My one ability was to protect R2D2. GG all and a toast to Uta, / and my fellow rebels. *goes off to drink champagne with ewoks.*

you are Darth Sidious, aka the emperor, you are a powerful politician you can control two peoples votes during the day, you automatically kill anyone who tries to night kill you, with one exception where death is only a possibility,

Wow, there were a lot more rebels than I thought. And they got a recruiter too?? Damn I would have thought they would be much smaller. That's a balance issue that I personally think could have made the game more fair. I seriously operated under the assumption that empire was waaay ahead based on the recruiter kill night 1.

That was a logical assumption. The odd thing was that the mafia's nightkill was tied to an individual rather than to the group (an individual modkilled for inactivity )

I'm surprised by Duday's death. Did he really kill himself or was that flavour text?

Since there was some dissention within the rebel ranks as to who CW should kill, can you tell us what would have happened if he had killed Duday instead of Safariguy?

yes duday actually killed himself his real reason was to make it more interesting
if captainwalrus had killed duday i probably would have said vader used force persuasion to make him kill himself or something like that

I assume Safariguy was fighting until the end and stole two votes from me, CW or Metsfan. If he had lived to see this dawn and if Duday was the only person to die tonight, what would have happened? Whose votes and how many votes would Safariguy have had?

yeah, but until like day 5 I thought I was scum, so I tried to kill town people, like colton.

If I had just gone for one side or another, this game would have worked out a lot better for me.

There was quite a lot about this game that made it unusual, but let's just say that is what will make us remember it

Two small things I would have done differently with this setup:

* Fewer rebels at the start, because of the recruiting mechanism
* Rebel nightkill tied to the faction as a whole rather than to an individual.

Ok, a third thing:

* A town doc. There wasn't one, right?

you are a storm trooper you are mason buddies with 3 other storm troopers (Army of God),(GiggleInDeath),(Wolverine Mutant), who are also storm troopers you can talk to them at night via pm, you can only pm them at night, during the night you all will decide as a group on one player to night kill, you win when the rebellion is ended

And yeah I killed myself Thought I would add some flavour to the last night.

I confess none of the strategic scenarios we discussed in the final night involved the possibility of you killing yourself!

This was so unbalanced it's not even funny. I would have liked to say if you had listened to me and lynched RE/Koesie town would have won but guess what, there were more scum than town! The tons of survivors of course didn't help, since they had no interest to make themselves a target. Why on earth survivors instead of vanilla townies, I wonder... I figured it would cost me the win to try and hunt scum but I have more fun that way and I knew I was right when I was killed right away
Anyway, kudos to Koesie for making the first successful open negotiation between scum and third party, but the mod seemed so biased towards rebs it'd have been hard to lose for you guys even without doing it.

ah well ill post the night actions later on tonight but safari had taken yours and metsfans votes, but that wouldn't have mattered because he would have still been endgamed, because their would only have been 4 other players who weren't rebels, but if duday had killed cw, or another rebel then safari would have had three votes, with lsu that would give him the majority and the empire would probably have won

Actually, when I replaced and read the hole thread I thought we were doomed:

* The rebels didn't have a nightkill
* Rainbow Eater was well on his way to talking himself into a noose
* Colton had post mortem betrayed my identity
* Town had two cops and two killing mechanisms in addition to the lynch

But it rather miraculously all worked out.

Scum was actually not in the majority until this final morning.
