Tie-breaker in future rounds... why not just make the rounds have an odd number of games?
I still don't get the fetish some people have for arranging contests that CAN end in a tie, when you NEED a winner.

We will have to try to move quickly when they are done just to keep everything moving but I will be understanding in not joining games in a couple of days.

2 weeks seems reasonable.
L4D wants to split it, just don't know when we send last half out.
Chuck is drunk somewhere in Mexico right now getting hitting on by a pair of senior citizens who are trying to knock "Have a threesome with a young stud" off their bucket list.
I'm sure he has a date in mind, and when he's checking the forum after a long night of "what the hell did I do" he'll respond. Oddly enough he returns on the 16th...coincidence? I think not.
If he doesn't respond in the next day or two I'll send him a text and ask.

i agree with incandenza

Because A) clans should have an equal number of home games, and B) it's often more trouble than it's worth arranging a single tiebreaker game.

I don't see giving the higher ranked clan 1 extra home game in a 40 or 60 game challenge being that much of a game changer... But whatever.
Namor wrote:It wouldn't be a home game, if the map and settings are the same for every challenge (Trip, classic, ns, chain, sun). OK, so one of the clans will have to create it and be team1, but that's no advantage.
The tie-breaker could be created along with the second batch of games and played in conjunction with them. The result only being concidered, if the other 40/60 games end even.
Namor wrote:I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere throughout the thread, but the front post doesn't clarify it.
I'm assuming that the 5 games in a singles match, only counts as 1 in a players 15max limit?

I didn't know anything about this? Can someone send me an updated contact information?

i take it this is probably something that will delay our set of games with them? i will pm them and find out.
also i quadruple agree with blitz and incandenza and whoever the other 1 was about 2 weeks between challenges. i would rather have more time off between challenges rather than during them.

Chuuuuck wrote:Both clans contacts have been updated. Thank you.
Shortly I will also update the first post to show the schedule for the first round more distinctly so there is less digging through here to figure that out.
Safariguy, do you think you all are still going to be good to send games tomorrow and join them 5 days later? Please keep me advised on what you all have going on so I can try to keep things moving and fair. Thanks.

so far, i have been talking with him, and he said they may need a couple more days (max of 5). that is fine with LoW, if that is not a problem.

I won't punish them as long as LoW is okay with it. Just so you know, the only real problem is if your games last longer because of this then the winner would basically lose those games at the end before their next war. But I am going to try to give a longer amount of time between wars so hopefully that is really very hurtful.
