This guy is a loser. He has 1 point for every game he has played, and that isn't a good thing. :)

Well, at least you still have your original 1000 points on top of that.
The guy I linked to has 137 games, 137 points.

yeah, my bad...but that player may be trying, so we should give him the benefit of the doubt...there could be some other circumstances, not immediately apparent...

Well if u think about it, it is kinda hard to win at this game since the only way that u could is to defeat everyone. So in each game played, there will be 2-5 losers.

While I agree that having fun is more important than winning per se, I'm 7-23 and on a 8 game losing streak. You could make a case for me as a loser.

Oh, well.

I haven't come close to winning after a few weeks of playing. I feel like giving up. Is it just a matter of time and practice? I try really hard, and I try to learn from the people I play with. How long does it take for the average player just starting out?

Well I crossed the long road from loosing all the time to losing most of the time :D in just 2 months. I suggest that you find one type of game (4 example standard, flat rate, unlimited) that suits you and stick with it until you feel comfortable playing it. It worked for me

I understand completely. I bombed most of my early games in spectacular ways. :)

It's tough. I played only freestyle at first and that is hard if you can't be in front of your computer constantly. I think sequential is better in terms of getting into the swing of things. There's less pressure. I just don't enjoy the mechanics of freestyle, myself, though it can make for some crazy/fun realtime games.

Hang in there. If you want to play some doubles or triples sometime, PM me. I'll team up with you.

You are too kind you know - you defend this guy far too often. Whether he is playing for fun or trying to win, he is a loser. It shows how big a loser he is that I can join in the abuse.

i just calcualted i will lose 224 points if he wins, The other player is either in alliance with benjij or he is the worst player i have ever had the misfortune to play with. This is depressing to a point where i really don't want to play anymore.

According to the FAQ, the most any single player can lose is 100 points. That's not much consolation, but better than 224, right ?

Thanks, i missed that part. I suppose that's not too bad but this other player still annoys me something terrible. As i said he is either in alliance with benji Or is the most awful player i have ever played and I've played some blue ribbon turkeys here on cc but none come even close to this guy.

you might want to start off with smaller games...the big ones are pretty tough to get a feel for...you win huge points if you win...but the if is much bigger

play some three and four player games for starters and play the same map, and you will get a better feel for it quicker

there is no real set way to play, some play conservative, some very aggressive....and most a combination...

also, if you can find someone to play doubles with that will work with you, you get your odds closer to 50% assuming youre not playing against the pros

good luck
