Tamriel

Postby Jamie on Sat Feb 10, 2007 11:14 pm

I like the Tamriel map, but where does it come from. I've heard the middle earth map comes from "Lord of the Rings", so I assume the Tamriel map comes from something. Anybody know?

*yet another quip about how you have obviously never read harry potter or LOTR*

who did you hear that from?? I can understand not knowing if you've never read either books, but whoever mixed the two books up is a complete moron!

Tamriel is from Elder Scrolls (thanks wikipedia!)

The Tameriel map is from the Elder Scrols games (Oblivion, Morrowind, Arena, and Daggerfall). They are all excelent games and should be played at once. Failure to do so will result in your brain exploding from lack of good RPGs.

Wth? I assume you mean What.

The Elder Scrols are a series of RPG games where it is optional to follow the main storyline, and not compulsory (sp?). You start off with nothing, and do missions for various people (Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Great Houses). Eventually most people do the campaign, but that is only abou 1/10 of the game.

I think reading the books or at least watching the movies (of either Harry Potter, and LotR) will help avoid embarrasment like this in future.

Arena and Daggerfall are for PC. I believe there are also two phone games, but they are called something else. (You can download Arena for free from the Elder Scrolls website, but it is a very old game.)

I assume you are either joking, or refering to a mouse. In both cases: Yes.

And they did make Arena and Daggerfall for PC, but I dont believe anyone here wants to reinstall '95 just to play them.

That looks suspicously like a 360 controller, and to the best of my knowledge (I dont actually own a 360) they arnt meant to fit in computers...
