Here's a thought about new players/Deadbeats...

If there is a new recruit in a game - then they only get 6 hours for the first 3 or 4 turns... after that the turn time out for them returns to normal.

In Freestyle this would work as follows...

24 hours allowed per turn - if all players have played their turn and 6 hours have passed then the next turn would commence.

If no-one has played their turns and 6 hours are up then the New_recruits miss a turn.

This would mean that a proper game could get off and running in under a day!!

Which would work up until the first game that took more than 16 hours to fill.

Now the poor new guy who started the game and had it kick off 5 minutes after he went to bed just got penalized for no reason.

If you are worried about recruit deadbeats, why not limit their missed turns to 2 until they finish 10 games.

No...no...the whole idea of the current time 'standard' time limit...is to get New Recruits coming back to the site, so they can enjoy it...we don't want to penalize them early on! How would we ever grow as a community and website? :)
