In 2006 SI, and ESPN the Magazine both claimed the Royals fielded what is widely considered the best AAA team in MLB history. By next year the Royals should have one of, if not the best offense in MLB. With all their high draft picks, they have also accumulated some lights out pitching prospects as well, Luke Hochevar for instance. #1 pick in the 05 draft. Alex Gonzalez, and Billy Butler, are the two highest rated hitters in AAA. Both should be up by August, as well as Hochevar. If Zack Greinke gets on track, Sweeney actually stays healthy, and Teahen continues to blast em, the Royals could by 2008 be a power hitting baseball team. I don't predict a championship by decades end, but i do predict a major improvement this year. Say 75-87 this year, 86-76 next year, and 95-67 in 09, along with their first playoff berth since winning the WS in 1985. What do you all think.
