is it the Coco plant?

2) It's a plant
3) Not a tree
4) it is eaten, but very rarely in America
5) people do eat it, but again I have only heard of a few dishes that include it
6) not a Geoduck
7) not pechay
8 ) it is a flowering plant
9) it does bear fruit but it isn't well known for it
10) the fruits are edible, but other parts are as well
11) not a banana tree
12) it is not known for its medicinal properties but according to google, it has been used in medicine in the past.
13) not a bayabas plant
14) it is grown in south america
15) not a cocoa plant

also coco and cocoa are two different things.

What is a coco then? A coconut?

You guys are really overthinking this. Quit naming edible plants. I told you that it is very rare that you would eat this at all, but it is eaten in certain places.

Doh! Actually I meant Coca, grown in the Andes and who's leaves are chewed (brewed as tea) and used as currency by many in the region. It is also the source of cocaine. Cocoa comes from the Cacao tree and is the source of chocolate.
