In doubles and triples, do you defer to higher ranks?

Postby HoustonNutt on Thu Feb 01, 2007 7:27 pm

Generally, if I am playing with a colonel (I am currently just shy of captain), I will defer to their strategy. I pretty much do this with majors, too. Of course, this makes me feel like privates/sergeants should take my advice if I have any.

Thoughts?

most higher level players i've been on teams with have been really polite, and i almost always have a plan in team games. It's usually the same as theirs, and when it's not it always works out anyway.

But no, i don't think anyone should follow my advice unless they're being moronic, and i wont follow anyone else's unless it benefits the team and not just the one giving orders.

if its like some1 with like only 20 games or less, i would say they should listen to a higher rank, most of the time, but my partner is a captain and we listen to each other so i thnk its more of who has the best plan, and not wat their rank is

This makes sense. I mean, I don't expect lower ranks to follow my advice if I say something completely asinine. However, I have to admit that higher ranks (and I am thinking especially of eddymush) have enough experience to have a better grasp of the strengths of the boards. If a colonel tells me to take a certain country or fort him somewhere, I am likely to follow the directive (though I might ask why just so I understand).

When I was slightly lower, I did. But now I'm beginning to realize (especially after having beaten quite a few of the higher ranking folk) that they're not necessarily smarter or better. I've also had a few bad experiences, one especially where I teamed up with a *VERY* high ranked member who played like shit. So, yeah, I suppose my answer is no.

I defer to whoever's not listening to my strategy, lol. Usually everyone goes with a grab a continent as fast as you can, and we'll all attack and fort each other from wherever we are strategy, or (usually when i play with high ranking players) cram one player chock full of units and use him as a tank

I just go with whoever has the best plan regardless of their rank.

I listen to the person who has the best grasp of grammar and typing, with good strategy...

Just because someone hasn't played on CC much doesn't mean they don't kickass at it...
