Deadbeat auto kick warning

Postby Twill on Sat Jan 28, 2006 11:46 am

Would it be possible to get a warning that another player is about to get deadbeat kicked?

It's a little frustrating when you base your strategy on grabbing their 3 cards only to have them dissapear because you forgot they were going deadbeat.

So, turn 3 we get a warning "player x will be kicked next turn for being a deadbeat"

Turn 4 they get kicked.

OR

On turn 3 we get a popup: "would you like to kick player x for being a deadbeat" then if all/majority say yes, then they are kicked on turn 4

of course, if we set deadbeat time limits at the start of a game then this wont make much of a difference :)

Just a thought

BOB will tell you the number of missed turns for each player.

I guess you missed the days when even cards had to be counted
because there was no spoils display.

This is a strategy game... how hard is it to keep track of turns?

But not everyone has or wants BOB. And very rarely people even know about BOB

Yup, I heard Twill was an admin or something who retired, so I thought it would be interesting to bump one of his 2 year old un-replied to suggestions.

That's right.

Twill used to be lackattack's right-hand man. He retired from moderation to be replaced by AndyDufresne (and Optimus Prime, to some extent).

This suggestion is not really valid any more because the log will tell you how many recent turns a player has missed if you take the time to check back a round or two. If you can't be bothered doing that much, there are add-ons you can install to read it for you 8-) !

It was answered. The problem was fixed.

It was really very simple too, since there was no problem to fix.
