you have to stand in line for 3 hours to vote? do you live in russia?

also, to quote public enemy, "it take a nation of millions to hold us back."

if you tell a friend to vote and they tell a friend, etc. pretty soon you have millions of people.

if you tell your friends you're abstaining, and they abstain, etc., well that's how we got stuck with Bush. twice.

No, we got Bush twice because the Dems put up losers to run against him.

Um, everyone knows Gore won the 2000 election. They counted all the votes overa six month period in 2001, and Gore had over 5000 more votes in Florida, than Bush did. Look it up. When the news was released in September of 2001, nobody paid much attention because of September 11th. Nice time for the government to release something that would normally embarrass them. Gore recieved more overall votes, and should have won the electoral vote. It is no coincedence that Jeb Bush was the governor of Florida in 2000.

this is completely bogus, Bush won every recount in Florida, and the election.

Not to mention the media was proclaiming Gore the winner in Florida long before the polls closed on the west coast. Give me a break. Gore LOST, I think its time you accepted it kyle and Jamie.

After the initial count, Gore conceded, then retracted it, because there would be an automatic recount based on the margin. At that time, Bush had won by 1,210 votes.

After the first recount, Bush still lead, but now by only 327 votes.

After adding the absentee ballots on Nov. 18, Bush now leads by 930 votes.

On Nov. 21, the Florida Supreme Court ruled that the hand-recounts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties must be included in the certification if they are completed by Nov. 26 (the Florida Supreme Court, remember, was very friendly to the Gore position)

The official certification was made on Nov. 26, with Bush ahead by 537 votes. (Palm Beach missed the deadline, and was not included.)

AT NO TIME DURING THE ENITE PROCESS WAS GORE EVER AHEAD OF BUSH!!!

The attemts made to 'steal' the election were all on the Gore-Democrat side! They tried everything they could to overcome the slim margin, and in the end were stopped not only by the U.S. Supreme Court, but also by the Florida Supreme Court. When Gore couldn't win with the three counties mentioned above, he widened his lawsuit to include Martin and Seminole Counties. This was an attempt by GORE TO STEAL THE ELECTION. This is all verifiable by anyone looking up the actual, unbiased history of the 2000 election.

Gore supporters and Bush haters alike need to get over this, the election was WON by Bush, and that is final.

He won the OFFICIAL recount. Check out the Sep 16 2001 edition of the KC Star. Page 6A, it says after an extensive manual recount of all votes cast in Florida, Gore had 5,683 more votes than did Bush. Due to the events of 9-11 it wasn't big news. It took them over six months to count all those votes by hand, but Gore did in fact have more.

The recount that proved Gore should have won was done AFTER Bush took office and was not an official recount by anymeans, though it was far more accuarate since there was no time limit, or pressure to count the votes.

Bush and the Lib's

Postby GTE on Tue Jan 30, 2007 5:09 am

It's funny that most liberals hate president Bush because he is more of a liberal Republican than McCain. The war and his tax cuts are his only conservative claim to fame. President Bush spends money like our schools, the always seems to be more to spend. I am a Republican and support the President with the war but I do not like the way he spends my money.

Give me a fucking break. Still talking about Gore losing the election. Gore lost, get over it. If your not smart enough to punch the ballot all the way through then your vote doesn't count. It's that simple. Just thank God that Gore didn't win that election. Liberals don't fight wars they try to talk until its too late. Clinton proved that with North Korea and look at where we are at now with them having nukes. If a liberal is elected President of the USA, the next attack will be our last.

Yes, I have no arguement, if you read his location, it's clearly stated that he lives in Missouri.

In his text, Jamie only says Kansas City. Jay wrongly thought he meant Kansas, and you blasted him, saying Kansas City is in Missouri. True, but also in Kansas... I was simply pointing that out. It was a mistake, but somewhat understandable.

And obviously the case went to the Supreme Court. Now, for your next homework assignment, find me one page (actual history, not some wacko nonsense about a conspiracy) showing me where the Supreme Court did an actual recount.

Most liberal president my ass, spends money and gives tax cuts as irresponsible as Reagan. Sure liberals have deficit spent in the past, but Reagan has turned that into a Republican thing as lately. Has no respect for individual rights or civil liberties something that liberals have been all about ever since Liberal thought started in the 1800s with Locke and Mill. So NO, maybe that R does stand for the correct party. Additonally about the schools he hasn't done shit ton to help the schools, they've actually been hurt(thats a state responsibility anyways) and NCLB has only hurt the schools actually. Being a son of two teachers and a student and actually affected by his shitty education decisions i've only been affected negatively. Now the Republicans are trying to call him liberal so his shitty decisions wont hurt them like they did in the midterm elections. So don't be such a dumbass.

Oh and it's not the supreme court's job to recount it was their job to make the decision of who won the election, so technically the counting didnt matter.

Liberals are real big on Liberties, except for the ones they dont excercise. And yes, Bush is more Liberal than McCain. Oh, and by the way, if Locke saw todays liberals and how theyre trying to make everyone follow their rules, hed be ashamed. Unfortunatley, the Republicans havent been doing much better ever since Raegan
