When you are in a game with a new recruit maybe ask them if they understand how the site works, if they have any questions mentor them.
I know it isn't the perfect solution but there are some positives to helping. More games can be completed without deadbeats and you might make more friends.
Lets not wait for them to come to us, lets reach out to them.
A very noble and wacicha-like suggestion!
I think its a shame that new people to the site are ridiculed for not understanding how everything works right away. Sure there are rules and instructions and countless threads, but when you enter a community like this everything is a bit overwhelming. And of course we know that the first thing most people want to do is join games and get playing, so when things turn out not to be real time or they are accidentally in a team game, it gets bewildering.
Then beyond the intial uncertainty, confusion and adjustment, players come to the forum looking for help and are often attacked or ridiculed when a little guidance is all they need. Like I said, I think its a shame and it forces many potentially good players and beneficial members away.
Of course there are players that come on demanding to be known as the greatest in the world (lamont

) or players that are overly anxious to post threads and ask repetitive questions....so I understand why its frustrating at times, but it seems like that hate of a few new people sometimes spreads to all new recruits.
