Grant's cabinet was one of the most corrupt in american history and while grant himself was not involved, he did little to nothing to stop it.
however i am very sympathetic towards him, he did a lot to advance civil rights for blacks and was the best reconstruction president. he is also perhaps my favorite character in american history.

Hoover was at least honest ( that may be hard to beleive but its true ) not the smartest president but at least he didn't Muder someone and Grant wasen't all that awful either. i can't stand the fact that he is on our currency. If he is on our Currency john Dilinger might as well be on it too.

You can understand blindness to what's coming beforehand, which was both Buchanan's and Hoover's sin. But after the clearly momentous event, you're going to obstruct Reconstruction/civil rights? This guy's racism gave us 100 years of Jim Crowe, and he did it knowing the consequences full well.

No. Well I don't like to think of it that way but I am one 1/32 Indian but thats not even worth counting.
Maybe that was an overstatment but still he gave the South what they deserved.
You do realize of course that Taylor was a Southerner who owned slaves? Also prior to his election as president that he was in the army and responsible for killing Indians.
