I love how I'm told not to "spam the site", and you walk into every thread not knowing what you're talking about and posting nothing relevant to the topic. Great site, eh?

What about creating a pm type box instead. pms could enter the box and then be randomly referred to specific community members (on a rotating basis). They would only judicate. If an issue was deemed worthy, THEN the jury would send a specific request to the mods to delete/take action on an issue.

The problem with using a PM system is that many of the people who use the eticket system (not all, but quite a few) are people who do not have access to their PMs. Anyone who is busted and turned inactive and anyone on a forum ban of any length cannot open their inbox.

We wouldn't use PMs and I think more people can be trusted with emails

How did we get to this?
We are talking feedback

I don't see why banned members that are permanently forum banned should be considered. And if they're not permanent, they can do it later.

I currently have 55 people waiting for ratings from me, with 74 games active, most of them being huge games. Are you telling me that TeamCC supports a system that I can simply now go through and rate these 55 members with all 1's, fucking up their ratings? And that's just the 55 i haven't rated yet, there's plenty more.

Fix this shit abuse stick you made.

Ratings are being abused. Just win some 1 versus 1s, and you will find yourself with some extra points, and a few one star ratings to boot!

Ratings abused by giving 1s across the board.
Feedback abused by leaving negative ones for no reason, with some foul language added.

What is the difference?

Both systems are abused, so we need to either come up with a third that can't be abused or stick to this one.

Personally, I would rather have a 1 star rating given to me than have "This dumb mother-f***er used his dumb-a** clickies to r*pe me. Go die!" left in my feedback.

1. Stop flaming/baiting me.
2. There is no difference between seeing a person with 100 five-star ratings, and one rating with all one stars, and seeing a person with 100 positive ratings and one negative one saying some crap. Either way, any person is capable of telling that the 1 negative/low feedback/rating was probably given out of context.

The difference is that ratings, you see a number and that is all, with feed back if someone gives you negative, you can see whether or not the person's argument is stupid

f*ck these stars. They haven't fixed abuse, they've just made it harder to be called on. If the average rating is 3 stars for an average players, why does almost 100% of the site have 4.7 or above? I've been left all 1's for no reason, and It stays because I can't argue with their opinion of my "fair play"

Bring back Feedback.

I agree with Kotaro. With feedback, it wasn't broadcast right next to your username. Enough bad ratings can really affect your rating so that theoretically, random people would be judging you before they even play with you. Most clans also use the ratings as a way to decide whether you are eligible. My point is that the overall impact that the ratings system has on your profile and reputation is greater than the impact the feedback system had. People who abuse the system have a greater impact now than they did back then.

well, you could go ahead and do that, but if you think you wont get warned for ratings abuse, and have your rating ability removed....you would be mistaken.

Perhaps no one loved the feedback system more than me... for long periods of time I had more than anyone...and i know I left more than anyone... but I also saw the work it took to fix the bs ones....including mine...

the complaints were absolutely non stop...and it simply isnt possible. the ratings are fine... you can keep a high one, as long as you are cool in most of your games....

to be honest....the new ratings actually make it easier to speak your mind in the game...not harder.. under the feedback system, if you spoke out about anything in a game, youd get a negative one...so those that played more, got more..and those that played less, got less.....those who gave more...like me....got more

You guys are remembering it being much better than it was. Myself, I love the new ratings... I know what to expect from every person...and know I can keep my 4.8.. and still have plenty of fun...and even a disagreement or two.
I'm Spanking Monkey now....err...I mean I'm a Spanking Monkey now...that shoots milk

First of all, to saw C&A was swarmed with complaints over feedback was utter bullshit. The only time there was ever complaints was when someone gave them a negative and flamed the shit out of them at the same time. On top of that, there was an overwhelming community responce to appoint a few people, with no moderation powers whatsoever, from the community at large, whom the mods could hand over all feedback complaints, they would give an unbiased opinion on whether or not it was unfair, and then the mods would accept that and do whatever was neccessary from that points. Takes 99% of the work from the mods, and makes the entire community at large happier.

Second of all, they replaced it with a new system that screams abuse. The entire mindset from the community has turned into "if you're below a 4, you must be an asshole". The "average player", as in not overly special, but not terrible, is a 3 star rating. Yet people are biased against, in tournaments, in clan recruitments, and in games, that if you're below even a 4.7, you're not good enough for their (whatever they are hosting).

And lastly, if I were to start leaving all 3 stars for everyone I played, since I rate everyone I do play, I would be warned to not abuse the rating system, even though I'm simply saying they're average players, with average strategy. And you know what? They would come here and complain. Surprise surprise, this one is just as easily bitchable as the last one.

And btw, AAFitz, I did leave 55 1's. KA sent me a PM, said "don't do it again", blah blah blah. But guess what? There was plenty of complaint threads. Good job lowering the workload teamcc; there is NO abuse now.

SAXI24 is very familiar with this site. Just not very good at it. As far as feedback I'm not familiar with the old system but this ones fine with the exception of a few isn't it?

Feedback sounds great and much less easily abused ( we can't eliminate abuse completely and make an accurate system obviously, but only make abuse much lesser ). Personally, I'm not a fan of ratings, and so I would like to see a Feedback system instated. :)
