Clarify the signature size rules.

Postby wcaclimbing on Tue Mar 31, 2009 4:50 pm

Concise description: Clarify the signature size rules regarding spoiler boxes.

Details: I know that the maximum signature size is 600x150.
But I also know that a spoiler box is much smaller than that, and can hold huge amounts of information within.

would we be able to extend our signatures to longer than 150px high if it was all contained in a spoiler box?
The box would keep it all hidden, so only people that actually click it will see all the information hidden in it.

So it technically wouldn't be violating the '150px high' rule, because the spoiler box, when closed, is only this big:

show

But look at how much information could be hidden inside. You could keep a ton of important information inside your signature, but it'd be nicely tucked away inside a box so it doesn't bother people that don't want to see it.

show: lots of random stuff

As sailorseal said, the signature size rule was made to prevent overly large signatures from making scrolling through the forums difficult. Spoiler boxes get around that rule because the information is hidden in that tiny box unless someone clicks it. And then they can just click the box again to hide the information, so the forums don't get cluttered up by big signatures.
This will improve: People need to know if they can include Spoilers in their signatures with lots of information in them.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. Disallowing spoilers is disallowing links because they take you to another site and that entire site doesn't fit within your signature.

There are no scrolling problems and you don't have to look at it if you don't want to. Seems pretty clear cut to me unless I am missing something.

what about the children?!!!! has anyone thought about the children?!!!! anyway, the only problem i see is how are you going to get people to click on your spoiler box? if i have no idea who a member is or what clan he is in, etc, i will have zero interest in looking at the spoiler box. just a thought. i think it is a great idea but unless people recognize you or your name or your clan, you are going to have very few views...-0

I have so far targeted about 30 victims, and have COMPLETED my hijacking of their games. We see in the forums some DISTASTE and UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS. I do not like this at all. I have supported this site with about 75$!!! I want that to go to GOOD!

If Ramned or the egg are REINSTATED, I will STOP these actions!!

If I continue to be ignored (or paid attention to, but flamed and nothing USEFUL and PROACTIVE occurs) then more and more people will have reasons to be upset.
