the legend is too dark for me to read, and the font is tight in those rectangles, which makes it hard to read... could you change that some?

im thinking that you should put in some pattern overlay, it looks too shiney and flat. also try making the docks look more realistic

Where did the ships go? If it weren't for the french blockade the British would have been reenforced and probably one.

I don't like the bonus legend. It is hard to read and looks ugly

i have zoomed in one the town of Yorktown and the blockade of french ships was not in the area of my map(well it was but not close enough), I have now started focusing on the land fight, if people think i should go back to my old idea tell me, but i think this idea is working much better

For all of those people worrying about the legend i am fixing it and it will be cleared up on my next update(hopefully by this weekend maybe sooner)

hope this has cleared some things up, if not please respond

Alright so, that blue stands out change it, you missed the second kind of impassible in your legend, both the impossibles look out of place, I still do not understand the flags and add boats. Great map!

when i think of a battle map, i do not think of normal bonus structure, just throwing out there that maybe it would be better without standard bonus structruere

Use cannons instead of flags for the bombard thingies?

Use only one thing for nonpassables, barbed wire or sandbags.

I think the map is a too glowy, mainly around the flags and the dock. It's just that bright white glow against such a dark backdrop doesn't work. I think you could change it for the better. The plasticy feel around the flags I'm not too keen on either. I think if you used a flat, kind of faded and rustic look for the flags it would go nicely with this map.

I think if you got creative you could name the territories. Looking at other maps of Yorktown I saw that you could probably name the areas where Washington's troops were by their name, ie. Rhode Island, New Jersey, ect. You could also use a territory and name it as General Washingtons HQ. You could also do lot based on the roads.

http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Map-of-th ... 74819_.htm

Take a look at land ordinance maps as well, I found a few pdfs put out by the county of York which might be of some use. Granted they're modern, but I doubt a lot has changed.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

The country flags should either be eliminated or should be a designation on a territ not their own separate territ and make those bombardment flags look good and move the legend

try not making your barbed wire a brush, if you drew each one seperatly, you wouldn't have it extending beyond borders, and overlapping

A lack of comments is usually indicative of a lack of interest. Unless you get a flurry of support from a wide section of the community, it might be worth putting this idea to bed?

you have recieved some comments, and i think that you should just post a newer version, also try making the color of the bonuses extend all of the way to the borders

It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the CAs will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made. ;-)
