Just to forestall any possible comments on this: Double word score squares are counted as 1 even if the word falls on 2 of them in a long word.

Where exactly in the rules does it say that? I don't seem to be able to find it. And it would be an odd rule since you can have counted a double/triple letter square and then a double/triple word square or two double/triple letter squares within the same word.

Ha! I knew it. I was going to add that if you find a rule otherwise that I"d do that, but figured that you'd find one for me. I put that up because of the scrabble site that I play on doesn't count the tiles that way. Oh well, since the Hasbro site is our all knowing ruler....
