I can't see any of the power roles being able to protect from/investigate both scum and wolves, as it leaves too much power with one person, so I think it is as pmc says, the roles are split. Which in turn leads me to believe that there is not more than one of each power role as it would unbalance the game. (stay with me, I'm getting to the point). What this says to me is that Nate is lying when he says he works every other night. Unless we can get the Seer equivalent (deputy seer or whatever) to confirm that they only work every other night aswell, then this belief will stay with me. As I said before, I think the roles are split, so it wouldn't make sense to have a deputy cop and not a deputy seer. Also, I think this solution is more favourable than revealing the cop, if it is all true then we lose a deputy.... more favourable than losing a cop or seer. If Nate is outed as a liar, we lose a liar.
Im not saying we should go along with this, I'm just putting forward a solution that could be used if we can't unravel the truth about Nate any other way. You may not agree with me about Nate, that is ok aswell, but it just seems to me that he's a bad liar and bad at covering his tracks when we've caught on.
