"Ignore Foe List" Option During Game Creation

Postby Itrade on Sat Jan 10, 2009 10:38 am

Have an option to ignore the foe lists of players when creating a game:
  • Ignore foe list could be a yes/no option like foggy/sunny.
  • If player A has joined a game and he has player B on his foe list, player B can still join the game if this option is enabled.

Specifics:
  • The main reason for this is so that Foe Lists don't stop any playeres from joining CC's Celebratory Battle Royale games, which would be against the spirit of such things.
  • Another reason is that if someone makes a game, their friends shouldn't be denied access because they're on the foe list of someone who joined earlier.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Battle Royales will be open to everyone, so nobody will feel left out of CC's biggest events.
  • People can have a second chance to prove themselves to people who have them foed.

As far as the Battle Royale went-it should have been without foe lists, but it accidentally wasn't programmed that way. Sorry guys for the oversight.
As for Tourney Organizing-the best thing to do is to say in the signups that foe lists will be suspended. If a player says he can't get into a game due to foe list problems, pm the other people in the game and tell them to remove him from their foe lists for the duration of the tourney.

If you and some friends want to play together and somebody joins who has foed one of your friends, you can always politely ask them to remove whoever it is.
