- Change "Assault" to "Invade"
Specifics:
- This has been bothering me lately. It sounds too unnatural to say "assault a region" because "assault" is a rather uncommonly used word. I think it would be much easier and more natural to talk of "invading a region."
- Although I generally do not like polls in this forum, I set one up. Seems like the only way to decide.
- One does not assault an inanimate object usually. However, one will usually invade a country, rather than assault a country. I can say I hear more about the U.S. invading Iraq than both assaulting (never heard that once) or attacking it (rarely and by high school students)
- This is a very easy fix since it is basically copy and paste, or just replace all "assault" with "invade" in the code.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
- Our language will sound like something that was not pulled out of a thesaurus after being threatened with legal action.
