So we can be pretty sure that ga7 is telling the truth, and is therefore a townie. (I don't see why he would lie like this as scum, 'cause the doc would know he was lying right away.)

I looked over the thread, and no one really disagreed with or accused him (a couple people suggested the thing would have targetted him, but nothing major, anyway).

So I guess the thing was trying to recruit him based on skill. A rather dumb move after yesterday's conversion, as pmc pointed out, so I'm thinking the thing is a newer player.

Also, with regards to ace, I'll give him time to defend himself before I decide on my vote.

Yeah, and that way the thing would be pretty dumb to try to hit me again so that's at least a confirmed townie in a game without cops :P
I think at this point it's doubtful Ace will bring something to the table, and although he tends to bandwagon regardless of alignment, we're better off lynching a prime suspect.
Confirm Vote Ace (I didn't really see the point of that confirm thing but whatever makes 5th happy
Also, FOS Switchblade submarining noob, might well be a suspect too unless he's just inactive altogether.

Yeah, I'm not seeing the point of the confirm thing. Please say it again, and much slower this time.

Did I miss ace's explanation on why he hammered, or did he just skim?

More of, I didn't pay attention at all to what had happened after the point that skoffin was scummy, and voted her because of that fact. Lynch me if you want.

He basically means that you are cofirming that you know your vote isnt a hammer. Its to make sure people dont hammer wrongly and if you write confirm you have no exuse if it is a hammer.

Exactly. That way no one can legitimately get away with a "I didn't know it was a hammer" excuse because if they typed Confirm before their vote, they're supposed to have made sure that they aren't hammering. It's also to make sure town are paying attention and don't just ignorantly lynch someone because they weren't paying attention to the vote count.

If wants to hammer and they know they are about to cast a hammering vote, they can just type "Hammer Vote XXX so we know it's what the person intended.

Understand?

The thing would be pretty damn dumb to target a second time a protected player. It seems to distress you that I'm cleared... FOS Drake

Unless of course that the thing knows that the doctor knows that and the doctor tries to protect someone else and then the thing could get you.

Sure, but that'd be nonsense. For me to be targeted again would have two requirements:
-The thing is stupid enough to try to get me again after a failed attempt
-The doctor decides there's someone else he should protect
I'd think odds are low for both things happening.

Anyway, vanilla claim doesn't help much. Ace might be innocent, but we can't really know on his word only unfortunately heh.

Agreed. I just wanted to make sure we didn't end up lynching the rogue or doc. And seeing as we have no investogative roles, there's no way of clearing ace. Therefore, confirm vote ace. For the same reasons as the earlier votes.

There is a scenario in which GA would not be counterclaimed, if he himself is the doc who was recruited by the thing, this would create for him a bulletproof claim, but I'm not that paranoid :P, still I would never trust anyone in this style game 100%.
Er also, I apologize for not being very active, I've been busy and I need to re-read further before voting.
