what should i do?

this guy gubbs keeps attacking me. he constistently breaks my bonuses even though i definitely not the strongest. there are 4 players left and me and gubbs are about joint bottom.

i complain a lot in game chat about it but he doesn't seem to say anything. wat should i do? i had a chance but now he has weakened me so much with pointless attacks that i can't do anything. i haven't been breaking his cont because the others need more attention.

personally i dont think you can complain he is not cheating and breaking bonuses is a common tactic. Whilst his tactics may not be the best thing for him and his game he is allowed to do it.

i know he is allowed to do it but i am asking wat should I do about it? it doesn't make any sense to me what he is doing especially whilst my bonuses are equally defended as the much larger ones... i don't want to attack him as he is weakest and that will leave the other 2 to gain control and i don't want to suicide on him because that is unfair. if you are going out you should go out but not ruin the game for someone else. at the moment i am just defending but that isn't going to work. tactically i can work out what to do but this is a bit more i think

he is a good player and i am sure he knows what he is doing you could talk about a 3 turn truce at a certain border so long as you inform everyone

i hav no doubt that he is a decent player and a nice guy. he doesn't talk in chat tho so i can't organise such a truce.

Personally I think that you all need to gang up on Cofari. The rest of you seem equally weak by comparison. You need to get Gubbs out of Africa though. Keep writing in game chat and the suggestion of pm-ing him is a good one

yeh i hav pmed him. i don't like the idea of actively ganging up on cofari coz i'm not too keen on alliances but if we focused more on him that would b gd. that is wat i tried to do and almost broke into europe. he only had 3 left but i can't do that now coz gubbs is suiciding on me

I'm actually confused what the issue is. He doesn't want to have an alliance with you, he doesn't chat and he attacks your borders....am I missing something - is there any other game types that can be played in here?

exactly what i thought just because he does not want to play the game in what you seem to think the best way does not men he is being breaking rules. It might show he could have made better decisions in game but thats is not a good enough reason to ignore him.

no it isn't and i haven't said at any point that he is breaking the rules or is doing something actually WRONG but my problem is that he is persistently attacking me which is clearly going to hand the game to someone else. This persistant attacking means that i can't get into the game and is just letting the cofari sit back and get an even bigger lead. the question is 'what should i do' and i just wanted to know wat others would do in my position. i listed some possibilites at the start of the thread.

yeh i hav said i don't want an alliance before in this thread. if someone takes the lead then its their and people shouldn't cheat them of it with an alliance. i hav made alliances but in the end i always feel guilty that i hav cheated someone of a win or that it was pointless because the same person still won. as for complainin i want this thread to be treated as a question instead of an all perpose moan about the game. i just wanted people's opinions on wat they would do...

so fort up and give him no reason to attack you. attack where you can, always get a card and do not get drawn into a 2 player game when it is a 4 player game. i have won a few games by sitting on the side lines and two plys. duke it out and smash i come in and win. hope this helps. just my opinion

gator i hav been fortin up for a few turns but he just attacks me. i hav tried simply sitting back and protecting myself but he just goes for me and not the stronger players

That one spot he holds represents 8 additional units for you - I think I would have done what he is doing, if you try and take that back then expect to loose it again - its a valuable square.

Am I looking at the wrong player - yellow? - Where only Gubbs holding Guineas is preventing you holding the whole of Africa - if you're not trying to hold it you're making a poor attempt at not holding

that isn't the problem. i could accept gubbs sticking his armies there as that is clever play but he consistently breaks into mahgreb bonus even though it is defended equally well compared to the much larger bonuses like europe.
