Islam is really a religion of tolerance and peace, just because people use Islam to garner support for violence does not make it a violent religion, look at the crusades, the pope used the bible to garner support for an attempted invasion of the holy lands where they looted and slaughtered thousands of innocent Muslims. Would you call Christianity a violent religion?
The prophet actually does call for death to anyone that won't covert. It's written in the quoran quite directly and not open for interpretation. I can quote the verses sometime later if you want to look into it.

 Try Matthew 18:18-19
Jesus Christ wrote: Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."

Of course, Jesus is speaking to His disciples here, and the context is the acceptance or rejection of a brother who is in sin, meaning that it is difficult to stretch the context to fit whatever any two individuals agree. If two believers come together to pray to restore a brother, than God will do so, but if two believers come together to turn a brother over to judgment, then that is what will happen. Specifically, it will be done by GOD, meaning that His existence is kind of off limits for this particular request.

You don't want to share with a person that posts mostly reasonable things because he may be a muslim.

Are you so insecure in yourself that just the possiblility of him belonging to a mainstream religion causes you to hate him.

What are you holding out on him?

If you're sharing kiddie porn partially soaked through with your man juices, consider me muslim too.

But hey your boy Bertram seems like a real great guy.

Tolerance... check.
Love thy neighbour... check.
Peace and goodwill to all men... check.

I only hope that before you die you might have time to realise what a pointless, destructive waste your hatred and bigotry were. Get back to your joyless cult and take your poison and your hypocrisy with you.

The bible doesn't teach to tolerate sin, but surely sin-NERS should be tolerated. What MOBAJOBG said doesn't sound very Christian to me.

Jay, as i don't believe in christianity i obviously wasn't talking about sin.

Besides which, in John's gospel jesus prevented an adulteress from being stoned to death with his 'let he who is without sin...' homily. Admittedly he told her to sin no more afterwards, but he was jesus, after all.
By 'not tolerating' what YOU see as others' 'sins' you are acting hypocritically, cos you're a sinner yourself. And you know it. A dirty, filthy sinner. Sort out the plank in your own eye.

You're not going to judge a person yet you won't tolerate them being a different religion. In a loving way?

How do people think the bible teaches to be non-judgmental.

Jesus taught to judge people in a just and fair way. He also cautioned that it's pretty easy to see where someone else is wrong because they are doing the same thing you are or something that's not as bad. Also the manner in which you judge people is going to be the same way you will be judged.

In other words if you're condeming others you better not have the same faults, and or deal with your own sin first so you can help others deal with their's easier.

Funny...no mention of those who dont follow anything I suppose?

Of course not...everyone believed in a vast array of fairy tales back then. Their primitive minds had no understanding of the world around them, thus they HAD to believe that everything came from gods.

Was it that one or one of the other gospels that mentions he knelt down and started writing in the dirt. Then the religious guys that were set to kill the woman started leaving.

I personally think he was writing specific sins of those present. I suspect they turned pale and left realising they were guilty of things possibly worse than her.

Another thing that stands out to me is, who did she commit adultery with and where's that guy?

My sin's been paid for. Washed in the blood. Lets not jump to all sorts of conclusions because I took exception to the word "tolerance". Jesus didn't tolerate the tax collectors in the temple... he got angry and tossed tables! (The house of God turned into a Den of Thieves) But... I suppose Jesus might have been a little more "tolerant" in that situation... huh? Far be it from me to suggest that.

To those who has suspected reading disability and lack of understanding capacity, just let me point the obvious out to you clearly.

"Mirak", told me to simply stfu (I've already bold the text for your easy reference) hence, I replied... then there is nothing I want to share with you. Do you get it, now?

I always welcome an open debate on any topic that I know but I don't tolerate any nonsense or ridiculous discussions because time is so previous to both you and me.
