As I don't want to look like an idiot, I have a quick question before I post my theory. If a cop were to investigate ani last night, would they learn his alignment? Or would they not because he died?

Are you telling us you're a cop, or are you just genuinely curious?

Because if you're a cop, we'd all love to hear your results.

No, I'm not a cop. I was curious as to what would happen.

I figure the cop/cops probably invesetigated ani last night, which is why we haven't heard anything from them yet. If they weren't told his alignment, there would be no reason for them to come out and say, "I'm a cop. I've got nothing.", especially with the possibility that ani was the doctor.

On the other hand, if they did investigate him, and he came up as town, I'm not so sure they'd tell us either. It would be worth it to expose a cop in telling us ani's alignment, would it?

This is all just speculation, though. For all I know, they could have investigated anyone.

What I think happened is a vigilante killed one and the mafia killed the other.

So now we just need to figure out who killed who. The one that the mafia killed would likely be town and we would just need to sort out who the scum are out of who voted on the bandwagon.


Of course, the mafia could've seen that coming and decided to get rid of a liability and confuse the town, which seems very likely as both of our bandwagon subjects are now dead.

Perhaps it was Mafia kill + Godfather kill?

That janitor thing fucking sucks, we won't be able to get info on any kill till he dies apparently heh. I don't think a vig would have just taken a shot on claimed power roles, or else he needs to get his shit together. But Mafia + SK is more likely. I really don't get why both kills got hidden though, pfff.

Now for the serious part...
First Holo asks for cop info. Dunc asks a question that would be kinda weird if he was indeed cop, then Holo comes again trying to make sure Dunc is a cop or not. All that while the freaking claimed doc just died. And asking results when if Dunc was indeed cop his post implied he'd have investigated Ani, making the investigation worthless since he died except for sanity purposes. I find Dunc's reasoning questionable as again, why on earth would a cop come out just because he investigated a dead guy? But the fishiest here is undoubtedly Hologram.

EBWOP. Jeese, I just noticed this now, so I can see how ga7 found my reasoning questionable. The cop should most definately not come out and tell us ani's alignment, if they decided to investigat ani, that is.

As for hologram, that was definately a stupid move trying to out the cop, but I'm not so sure it was a scummy move. I think scum would be a bit more subtle than trying to out the cop that blatantly.

Oh, it was a stupid move alright, but was it a stupid anti-town move or a scum slip-up? I think Holo thought he could get away with asking for a claim while hiding it as curiousity. I don't believe him at all, and I'd like a little more pressure on him.

as for hologram's little slip-up, i'm a little unsure. i've seen town make mistakes before, and with janned roles, it's easy to forget which corpses could have been what. also, i don't really know if this is the kind of slip-up hologram can honestly make, as it's also very easy to cover a scumtell by claiming ignorance. anyone know hologram's playing style, and/or past stupidity to help me out?

FoS hologram for now, but i'd rather not go jumping on wagons with so much uncertainty.

For instance, I'm still suspicious of ani's sanity as a doc. Going off of the wikipedia article, I believe he was either a naive doc or a doc with only a slight chance of success, and I believe there's at least one other doc out there that doesn't want to counterclaim for fear of their own lives.

In short, we can't be sure of any leads that are based wholly on lurking.

No I can't, because it's partly guts feeling and I don't know the theme at all so I can't say if there's actually a character who would make more sense. Anyway, read.

Sounds minor to me.

From this article. Granted, I haven't read the books, so it's mostly speculation. But the only mention of protection from the article is his failure to protect. Therefore I believe he must be an insane doc and chances are that there's another doctor out there.

I'm half asleep, but figured I would throw this out there to discuss. Mafia most likely would've gone for the "claimed doc" and obviously they have a janitor based off of the coverup. If what is being said is true concerning that character's inability to really protect and he was an insane doctor, it may be possible that animo inadvertently killed our other claimed townie. I'm unsure why the second death would've been covered up unless the mod decided that the janitor was cleaning up both bodies in the same place.
