Christmas Tree

Postby DBandit70 on Sat Oct 18, 2008 12:50 am

I am not a map maker but I have an idea for someone who would like to develop it. The picture of the map I have in mind would be centered on a Christmas tree with a background of warm colors including a fireplace, stockings and a sleeping dog, all of which will be in play. On the tree itself I figure there would be lights (one of 5 or 6 colors) and ornaments. Also on the tree would be branch area to move around to get to other lights or the star on top. I thought since lights run on an electrical cord that this would be a line of attack, and also perhaps a hazard which if an electrical surge is triggered, all on that line will lose 1 army and if it is a singleton, it reverts to a nuetral. The trigger for this could be a lowly mouse naughing on the plug and will hold a nuetral 7 upto 10. Since I was hoping for about 24-30 lights it could be a very useful tool in weaking those on the tree holding light bonuses. This is very rough ideas, any thoughts out there and anyone who would like to get it moving please write

not so sure about the specifics you've suggested here, but I kinda love the overall idea. I could see ornaments as territories, as well as the presents at the foot of the tree. And fun, kitschy graphics. Keep it small - 30 terits or so - and try to pump it out by christmas.

Nice idea, it certainly has a lot of potential. :)

Although if someone is going to take this forward, they would have to try and ensure that the map is playable by Christmas.

thank you guys for the encouragement and I like the idea of the presents also as territories, so the some of the bonus groupings could be lights of a certain color, ornaments, and presents, and the star on top. All this said I am not a map maker so I am hoping to find someone to undertake this venture and I will help where I can
