Taking a crack at first tourney. Open to all, but Freemiums need to keep 4 games open. Fantasy golf and CC rolled into one!!
32 players, divided into 4 brackets, ranked 1 to 8, compete for the ultimate prize, but with a twist ā two possible tourney winners!!
Settings:
Sequential, Sunny, Escalating, Chained, Maps: see below
Tourney 1: WGC CC Edition
How will the tourney be run?
Once we have 32 players, I will match them, based on CC points, to the WGC rankings posted below. The date for the player determination is not yet set, but it will be once we have all 32 players, but before the tourney starts.
Updated here: As of 11:01am, PA time, here are the ranking. 1-4 are 1 seeds, 5-8 are 2 seeds, etc - go to the original post to check the brackets - I do not have the final spreadsheet uploaded to my website yet. Please send me your fantasy team by midnight Tuesday, 9-23. Remember, we will be playing 3 games per map, with the top 2 from each bracket advancing to the World 2.1 map for a single game.

Tourney 2: WGC Fantasy Edition
How does fantasy come into play?
After the player rankings are presented, each participant must send me a fantasy draft of 6 players. Your team must adhere to the following rules:
⢠1 player who is a 1 seed
⢠1 player who is a 2 seed
⢠At least 1, but up to 2 players who are a 3, 4, 5 seed
⢠At least 2, but up to 3 players, who are a 6, 7, 8 seed
Pick yourself, pick your friends, pick your enemies ā I donāt care. Fantasy teams will be posted once the first round games begin.
The winner of the each major gets 3 points added to their score (ties go to winner of 1st game ended for that Major), and the winner of the World 2.1 game gets an additional 5 points added to his/her score.
After the final game is played, your teamās points will be accumulated, and the highest score is the WGC Fantasy Edition winner.
How are points accumulated?
Scoring:
Place Points
1 8
2 7
3 6
4 5
5 4
6 3
7 2
8 1
Kills Total Points, not Points per kill
1-3 2
4-6 3
7 5
Questions:
Q: So does that mean I can win every game I play, and still not win the fantasy tourney?
A: Yes, but if you picked yourself on your team, then you should be right in the hunt.
Q: On the other hand, I can personally suck at CC and lose every game, but still win the fantasy part of the tourney?
A: Correct. Just pick the right 8 players.
Q: How will the games be determined?
A: Imaging the WGC or the NCAA tourney. 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, but instead of 1 on 1 games, we are playing 8 teams per game. So seeds 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16 will be game 1, and 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15 will be game 2. 8 scores from each of those games advance to 3rd game on each course.
Q: What if there is a tie?
A: If thereās a tie, then we will look at each teamās players starting with the 1 seed. Whichever teamās 1 seed has more points, they are considered in the lead. Continue down the teams based on seeding. So if a team has a 1,2,4,7 seed and another team has 1,2,3,8, 3 gets compared to 4 and 7 gets compared to 8. Everyone has 8 players so thereās a 1 to 1 matchup for tiebreakers.
Q: Why are kills worth so much?
A: I like people who are aggressive and take chances. They should be rewarded.
