Nintendo Wii

Postby jbrettlip on Sat Jul 26, 2008 11:14 pm

Ok, I just bought a wii and it came with Wii sports. I rented Godfather Blackhand and a few other games. Can anyone recommend some other fun games that I should rent?

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Those are more of buys than rents, IMO, but you should probably try before you buy. I also heard Mario Kart Wii was good, but that probably wouldn't come with the wheel for a rental.

Definatly QFT

Also Blazing Angels is a really good one. the controls somehow work much better even than joysticks.

What's that one with the lightsabre-wielding assassin?

totally depends on what style game you are looking for. i have a ton of games for my Wii, and my favorites are Super Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and Guitar Hero. Other games i enjoyed a lot would include Mario Party 8, Super Paper Mario, Twilight Princess and Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem has a tactical element that i enjoy.

Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and Mario + Sonic Olympics are all good games too that have brought me entertainment, especially when playing with friends/flatmates. The problem with the wii I found so far is there are fewer 1 player games/classic games but it's definitely the best console in regards to multiplayer fun.

No one has mentioned Metroid Prime 3: Corruption yet? Definitely a buy....probably too in depth & long for a rental. But an awesome game....every Metroid Prime game is amazing, so if you've never played the 1st two, pick them up. Take advantage of the backwards compatibility, as MP 1 & 2 are Gamecube games. Well worth it.

No More Heroes, good game but might not appeal to everyone. Buckets of blood in the American version.

Highly recommend Mario Kart, a great multiplayer game. Brawl's pretty good too, as is guitar hero. Stay away from Mario and Sonic at the olympics.

For 1 player, No More Heroes (see above), Mario Galaxy, Metroid. I've heard Zack and Wiki is great too.

I have a Wii. I really like the Mario Kart game. Well worth buying.

Wii Sports is fun too.

Remember, Wii is most fun to play with other people, not so much alone. So as you look at games, keep that in mind.
