Any of the JS needed to be removed would also invalidate BOB.

Does BOB use submitButton, quantity, updating? I don't see it my version. CM uses them.

BOB uses Armies... which is the main thing that CM uses.

Yes, agreed...

Will CM work fully without the above variables? Will BOB?

Not in present state - but those variables are simply loaded from the main page - if you even look in the js file you'll see how they are retreived.

Yes.

Now imagine those variables are conditionally renamed.
Now throw in all of the other changes.

Still trivial to Joe average??

I haven't finished pissing just yet...

Uh- not that I understand anything said above me- but would it be possible to code another Classic version in a way that CM couldn't be used on it? That's somewhat like a enable/disable button for CM, but I believe that this is more secure since you'd have to hack the map that is implented on the CC server-- no?

If you counter this argument- please in a way an absolute amateur can understand it, too =)

The Map Images - and the Map XML files are freely available to be used by the site - and the addons.

So in short No.

Variable rename should be pretty easy to code round... but you missed my point earlier...

it depends on what methods are used - and what the end goal is...

If the End goal is to disable ALL scripts - then that is possible easily - but CM *Can* be rewritten - obviously this would take more effort by a seasoned coder.

To disable CM quick and dirty would be a lot easier to code round... and I reckon that people with minor coding experience could code round that.

As Clickable Maps will be built-in soon, this can be rejected ;-)

built-in means I don't have to get bob or greasemonkey? I applaud this.
