the topic of freemasonry is really an interesting topic that people can discuss and yet no one really actually "knows" much about. when it comes to freemasons you can study as much as you want, but unless you have an inside source that has chosen to go against what he swore and devulge the inner workings of it, all the information you can come by will be filtered to suit the public perception of a very family oriented, socially acceptable organization.
Let's start with the basics. Masons are not Christians by any means. Christians might have joined the mason organization because they were invited and they believe that it's a great group to join, but masons pray to 3 different gods (yes, they pray). In their secret meetings they will split apart into groups of three and pray their ritual prayer, each allowed only to say one part of their "god's" name. In actuallity each part is a seperate god. Forgive me as i don't remember the names that they use, but i do remember the gods that they pray to. The first is God. The heavenly Father of the Christians (my God), the head of the Holy Trinity. The Second is Baal. If any of you know much about the Bible, Baal is a frequently worshipped god in the old testiment. The third is Osiris, god of the ancient Egyptians. The lower level masons believe that they are praying to the three different parts of the Holy Trinity or whatever they have been told, but they aren't.
Now the reason I said that masons aren't Christians by any means is that if you are a Christian with any level of discernment you would not be found in a group that would not allow you to speak the name of God by yourself. Also, a true Christian wouldn't allow himself to be put into a situation where you would not be allowed to talk about anything that happens in those kind of meetings. When a mason is sworn in he must be blindfolded and kneel before the head of the group while reciting an oath not to speak of anything that happens inside the group. They have a knife or a sword put to the throat or chest (i don't remember which) and recite 3 different oaths stating various things to the extent of devulging secrets of the masons will lead to dismemberment and death.
Masons are not Christians.
Hmmmm information that only a mason would know.
