People have been predicting the end of the world pretty much every year for the past 1500 years.

That is a rather egotistical (if you from the US) and narrow reading of Revelation. What part of Revelation would make you think that it has anything to do with the US. Many people thought Revelation was about Rome, many people since it was writen, thought it was about whatever government was a superpower at the time, or was ruling over them. Just like them, I would guess that you are equaly wrong in assuming that would be about you. Heck, it may not even bet about the State of Israel, it may be about a Jewish nation that has to regain control of Jerusalem and rebuild the temple, at some point in the distance future. I might suggest that you re-read Revelation.

Besides, just like Revelation is not the whole Bible, it is also not the only part of the Bible that deals with the end-times. I would also suggest a re-reading of Daniel, specificly the last chapter.

But truly, do you really think that the Book of Revelation or the Book of Daniel doesn't include the United States in their prophecies? The United States is the strongest power on the planet at the moment, and God wouldn't put any prophecies dealing with us in the Bible?

If the End Times is now (and I and many other Christians believe it is) then wouldn't the existence and destruction of the United States be in the book of Revelation? How absurd to think that it wouldn't.

Err so big deal the US is the strongest power at the moment, soon China will be number one and will probably be so for an awful lot longer than 50 years. That is the issue, all you are seeing is the beast of the sea, Revelation 13, happens after the first 3 1/2 year of peace, which happens after the temple is restored, and sacrifices start back up in the temple. This all happens, after peace is reached in the Israel. The leader who creates the peace, (if you beleive that Daniel, he will likely be someone descending from a power that used to be rome) in the 2nd 3 1/2 years, will wage war with Israel. You see, before what happens in Revelation 13, there are a lot of other peices.

Can't say that I, or really anyone I know for that matter, that reads Maxim or even heard about the new President of Ukraine. Besides, in Spring of '05 I went to Hawaii and to Waikiki Beach. I also have a scar on my head from when I ran into a corner of a buffet cabinet when I was 4. So who's to say I, or some other random person isn't the beast? AND! There is YET to be a 3 year peace in Israel. 3 day, yes, 3 week? Sure. 3 month? Not yet.
