I prefer Chicago Deep Dish cause of its size and you will need a fork! Compared to New York cardboard pizza, although foldable does have its benefits.

i make my own pizza. it's the best because i put beer in the dough and i use my special family recipe hot sauce

You've gotta be kidding me! The only way to eat a pizza is with a fork, not folding it over like a cardboard box!

Did a mod just create a thread in the wrong forum?

Anyway, I'll have an Italian pizza, you can keep your cheap rip-offs.

I tried some deep dish when I was in Chicago a few months back. It was better than I expected. Rather enjoyable.

You guys! You got to have pizza super large with thin crust! White sauce with spinach, broccoli, chicken, artichoke hearts, and sliced garlic! THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! And I can't get it anymore where I am living now, that's a friggin' bummer!

Deep dish is just a little to sopped with grease in the crust. It's good, but I don't feel so well after I eat it because of all the excess grease that is soaked into the crust. I prefer the New York thin, but I have never had a REAL New York pizza. But I am told that the Restaruant in Arizona called Bono's Pizza came the closest to the real thing (this by people that lived in New York!) and that is where I always got my pizza's from in Arizona!

Now that I am in SOuth Dakota, it's either Domino's or Pizza Hut... :(

But it isn't just about cooking, it is the style of cooking and the specific indigenous flavor of the localized ingredients. Such as the flavor of New York water in the dough of the crust and the brick oven method of cooking...that is kind of hard to do out of your own electric or gas stove...

The same goes for Normandy Cream or Normandy Butter...you just can't get the right indigenous flavors as what you get from Normandy grass of which the cattle graze, or the flavor of Scotch from a specific region of Scotland, etc...

True, (and I love to use Maldon Sea Salt, which most US people don't know). But I make my own pizza rather than go to Dominoes, or especially Pizza Hut.

Dude you need to travel a bit. You're talking about a choice of toppings ham with pineapple.

The only reason that's called hawaiian is because traditionally at the huge polynisian feasts they would cook a pig with pinapples and serve it up. North americans that would visit decided that was Hawaiian food so that topping combination became known as hawaiian.

The poll is referring to a combination of crust style, wether the topping are on top or under the cheese and if you need a pan to cook it in. Both chicago and new york style pizzas could be a hawaiian.

I'm not to particular when it comes to the crust, the toppings are a different matter. Such as, I will NOT eat pizza if it has mushrooms or peppers on it. Otherwise, I'm fine with it.

good thing about where I lived in NC, it was called "little new york" because so many new yorkers had moved there. So we had great bakeries and pizzerias. Pizza in Seattle SUCKS. But they more than make up for it with great varieties of asian food.

Pretty much a decent quality pizza pop. I rarely have had one I usually want the pizza if I'm out or ordering one in. The big thing is not that I can't make one it's just that no one here wants to cook then someone's like "what about some pizza." typically we'll have a particular place in mind too.

Pizza is one of the few places I find mushrooms edible something about the tomatoe sauce makes them ok. I won't seek them but I won't be cranky if they're on there either. Put fungis on my steak or burger and I'm unhappy.

Way to miss the point though muy. Greek pizza anyone?

Not sure what you mean by that - pizzas in Greece were Italian-style mainly last time I was there - but I have to say that feta cheese is a great addition to a pizza.
