I think that the Rankings are not necessary, but the +/- is very necessary.

Well, I have tried setting all maps and it was fine, so please give me all the exact selections you used on game finder.

That has happened anytime I plugged in a number without any map choices.

EDIT: On a further note, maps I have never won on, but Terminated someone on are showing up with a win percentage. Perhaps do a double-check on the code to allow for Terminators?

Hi, Tacktix.

Can you give me an example so I can test and fix please? (Map name will do) I'm assuming you're using version 1.0.5?

On a side note, having dicked around with this beautiful little device on and off all afternoon, I can say that it took some five minutes or so to calculate benjikat's score on waterloo. Holy crap (the score, not the load time).

Just noticed your edit. Yes, I can allow player2 if you like. So in game finder you fill in "With Player" and "And Player", right?
Nice idea!
The gamefinder itself only appears to allow 2 players to be entered so you could only do doubles teams, I think, which is a pity.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm thinking, so I can break down how exactly I've done with one particular partner...

And seriously dude, this is the coolest goddamn thing since sliced bread (or at least arms race). One of my longest-standing issues with CC has been the utter lack of easily-culled statistical information, and this plugin is a giant step in that direction.

1.0.6 is available.

*manimal - I've fixed this for you, so go ahead and see what your rankings are, sorry for the delay.
Incandenza, I've thrown in your request with these bug fixes, so please let me know.

At present it basically still gives your ranking but only with games including your partner.
It's not quite what you wanted, but that can be done.

btw, thanks everyone for the positive feedback!

Just installed the new one and noticed a few things:

  • I saw that you replaced that text=# with "Any Map", but can it be set to the number without the funky text?
  • If I put in all the number boxes, it shows up as "infinity%" in the running stats box. Could it be used to list each of those settings side-by-side?
  • Can it be used to work with tournaments from the drop down menu?

i try to do it and my comp. freezes... its probably just my computer though (its kinda old)
its a really awesome idea! i've wanted to find these things before and now i can. the only ones i searched though were myself in all maps (it worked pretty good) and wcaclimbing AoR 2 (i saw earlier posts, and this search took a couple of tries before it worked). again, great plugin, and i wish my computer was newer...

EDIT- could you make it so that you can select more than one map like add a click box beside every map name? i also just tried my name again and it worked really easily. it seems only my name works...

Go to the game finder page, select what you want to see and below "Search" is a new button.

No, that's exactly what I wanted, so that I can put in my name and another person's name and find out exactly out the team's overall point +/- and win%. The only tweak I would suggest is to somehow be able to have it break down by map, which obv. it doesn't when you use the map rank in the game finder...

The interesting thing is that if you put in two player names, but don't specify doubles (or trips or quads), it'll give you the points that you won from all games involving that player whether or not they were your teammate, which I would imagine is an unintended but really great feature. At least it'll give you a +/- in 1v1s against an opponent (tho it doesn't work quite as well in larger games, as the points you lost didn't necessarily go to the other person). It would be cool if you could input 2 names and find out exactly how many points the one had lost to the other regardless of game, with points lost to a third party disregarded, but that sounds like it could be tricky.

Quite the day's work, good sir.

Mine froze when I tried to search all maps.
I'm guessing it was because halfway through I opened a second Firefox window to try and use CC while my stats were compiled.

But there's been an update since then. I haven't tried it yet since the update.

Would love to see it break down per map on Game finder...

Also - bit concerned that something isn't right...

I get this...

Any Map Captain +882 Won 291 from 611(48%) 118pts for Major

Yet - I'm actually already a Major (just!) and I have 2 more wins?

Rank: Major
Score: 2001
Games: 611 Completed, 293 (48%) Won

So I'm a little confused. Does it merely take the points 1) you're winning/losing on that map and add it to the score, or does it 2) create a completely separate score starting at 1000 and calculate what you *would* have? Aka, let's assuming I've never played on classic, and my score is 2000 atm. If I play my first classic and win it and win 50 points, will my classic map score be 1050 (which would be using the point 1) in calculating) or would it be higher than 1050 (which would be using point 2) in calculating).

Sorry, I read your post, just didn't understand completely.

It collates all of your points that you've won on the map...

It takes no account of current rank at the time of the game etc (as that has already been taken into account by CC itself)

Minor change... instead of

"yeti_c hasn't played any games on XXX map"

Can you change to

"yeti_c hasn't completed any games on XXX map"

Just installed this, its pretty cool!

However, 2 minor things:
*cannot close popup (because the ok-button is below the status bar) unless i use tab+return
*I have 0/2 games for chinese checkers but only -3 points. This cant be right?

and 1 seemingly major:
When calcuating all maps at once, my classic amount of points is around -200, but when i ask for classic seperately im at +700 :geek:

Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

It's screwed up for me 4x in a row, giving me a different result nearly everytime.

On classic, I either get I've gotten twice that I haven't played the map, once that I've won something liek 3/352 games or something, and another that I've won 52% of my games on classic. So ya, something is wrong^^.

Your second paragraph is exactly what I meant by not quite what you wanted. Map Rank is piggybacking the game finder search algorithm, so if you type in 2 players without teams all games regardless of whether or not player2 is your team-mate are shown as you've said. With a lot of work I could give you exactly what you requested but you'll have to wait on this one if you don't mind, but I like the idea!

yeti_c wrote:Would love to see it break down per map on Game finder...

Could do and probably should do, as it's named Map Rank.

Any Map Captain +882 Won 291 from 611(48%) 118pts for Major

Missing log problem - will be fixed.

1) so it's accurate with the exception of the missing logs from March.

If this is with the latest version (1.0.6) then it sounds like I have introduced a bug because this behaviour is new. I will test now with your name and classic for fixing (sounds like you're repeatedly trying to break it, so I'll do the same, thanks).

I'm not trying to break it :(. I was just merely confused when I typed in "Maniacmath" and a few other names and saw "no games played on Classic" so I went back and typed my name in and continually got different results - I really like the idea as I gave my support for it in the Suggestions forums and downloaded this as soon as I saw it. I appreciate the work.

EDIT: I've tried it a few times recently using both ALL and Classic and both have worked with consistent results, and yet the new result isn't any of the other 3 =P. Apparently I'm a major with 40% win - damn deranking should have done it after this came out hehe.

I think the problem lies from pressing the button more than once - or pressing OK before it has finished - doing that has caused some weird things to happen for me (progress bars starting at 100 and going to 200 etc)

Sorry, I am happy if you try and break it as part of testing, that wasn't a negative at all, I did say thanks!

It won't currently work if you keep trying to calculate before the last calculation has finished and you will get weird results until I fix this (not a major fix). Can you let me know how it behaves if you allow it to complete and then retry so I know I haven't broken something new? Thanks in advance, and please keep the feedback and bug reports coming!
