Bands people probably never heard of...

Postby DirtyDishSoap on Sat Jun 07, 2008 8:22 pm

Call out a few bands that you think deserve a spotlight.

Deathstars - Cyanide - Metal

Paradise Lost - Say Just Words - Metal

Darkseed - Disbeliever - Metal

Anathema - Deep

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing - Heavier

Porcupine Tree - The Rest Will Flow - Lighter

Within Temptation - What Have You Done Now - (Think Evanensence)

Cold - Suffocate - Rock

Anathema varies with rock and metal (Going as far as Death Metal) The song Deep is NOT Death Metal, something like rock but i really cant call it that.

Porcupine Tree is just damn unique...No idea what to call it but they got a beat. Classified which is heavier and which is lighter (in my opinion)

I listen to last.fm when I can, which is full of bands no one's heard of. One that sticks out in my memory is "pronounced" phonetically as Nano Cyborg Uber Holocaust, but the band insists it is written with a bunch of foreign and odd characters in place of their "normal" counterpart letters (think lots of umlauts and accents). The band is made of two bassists who are also two scientists. They met while working in Antarctica and recorded their first album in the exact South Pole. There have some of the craziest song lengths, from 1 second to over 24 hours!

It was hard to find but here's the actual name: NǽnøĉÿbbŒrğ VbëřřĦōlökäävsŦ

As you may have guessed their music is not the most accessible...

Within Temptation is very famous in The Netherlands, but I don't think u can compare them with Evanensence, most songs are very diffenert.

Song sounds alot like Evanensence, All in all though Within Temptation is nothing like them.

Just for some reason this songs reminds me of them.
