List of Graphic Makers and Coders

I was wondering if there could be a list of people willing to make graphics and a list of people willing to code for other mapmakers. I think this would be helpful for new mapmakers (like myself) and others that enjoy one particular part of mapmaking but not the other.
I would be willing to code a map (I would prefer to do a simple one first), if someone will do the graphics and the ideas.

you're hardley a map maker if you get someone else to do the GFX, and get someone else to code the map!

that would just make you an idea generater! which we have an announcement for!

codings's the easy bit, excluding things like AoR lol, GFX is the hardest bit-although not that hard.
i think that the person who makes the GFX is the one who makes the map, anyone can do coding, but not everyone can do GFX and everyone has differing styles and comes out with differing results.
why what is your great map idea?

i dont think that people will be willing to do GFX in something that they no nothing about, something they may not be interested in, and something that is probably a very bad idea,
this thread might make people on that list above getting unwanted PM's from people wanting to make a pathetic map like soemthing like this - "i got a great idea, CC Zoo! isnt that great; u could have an elephant, a lion, a kangaroo, a..."
so i only think that people would be willing to do GFX for someone if they approach them, not the other way around.

of course theres always exceptions.

you probably ask pepole before volunteering them! Not all of these people are known for doing gfx for others.

And if you're listing map-makers, what about Tel, and WM?

im not volunteering them, im just putting out a list.

IK, but they're are probably a couple who wouldnt want to at all.
Plus, im sure almost any map-maker will help out a good idea.

I dont currently have an idea, actually I have a few but I want to work a little before I put them out here, I was volunteering to code a map if someone wanted to make graphics for them

Typically mapmakers ask for coders, if they want them, when a map hits Final Forge. For instance, Operation Drug War had its XML done by zimmah after edbeard put out the request.

but yeh - u cant go around stalking people for XML lol, and i think people would prefer people that know what theyre doing do to their XML rather than someone who just wants to do it to get their name on someone else's map.

first, who says I dont know what i'm doing, I just haven't been in the foundry mutch
second, I dont want to do it to get my name on the map, I want to do it to help out the site and to get more experience with this XML system

well I wrote the code I'm just looking for a centerer. And, I guess z's been as busy as I've been.

I don't think this is a good idea. People are going to get PMs when they're not wanted. If a graphics person wants to help out on a map they'll ask the guy with the idea.

For example, I know 8 Thoughts was an idea that was going to be developed by Coleman. WM saw the map and said, "hey. I'd like to do the graphics on this." That's just how things work sometimes.

If you have a good idea, you'll probably be able to find someone willing to do the graphics.
