I mean, most of the new settlers didn't go out of their way to slaughter native americans because there weren't many in their neighbourhood. They didn't stop the massacre though, they silently or vocally approved. Almost noone was really trying to do anything about it.

Wow, did you just learn Ward Churchill's name after reading that article you linked?? What a load of crock. Whether or not you want to get into the technicalities of the definition of what and what not is genocide you have to be deluded to think anything other than the fact that white settlers (to America, Australia, New Zealand, etc) destroyed indigenous peoples cultures and way of life purely for the fact they felt that they had a divine right to do whatever they pleased.
That article managed to report probably every recorded major attack the Indians inflicted upon the settlers, where as I'm sure it wouldn't have even scratched the surface of the attacks directed in the opposite direction.

I don't see why you can't admit that your countries culture is based upon aggression and violence and taking whatever is your 'God given right' - Whether it be on government level with multiple current occupations overseas shoring up oil supplies, or on a front closer to home with the US being the worlds biggest consumer of produce and energy in the world. You're a retard - I'm sure they did hunt and kill animals, and I'm sure they ate them and used their skins for clothing and other materials. It's called a natural cycle. One thing I'm sure they DIDN'T do was to farm animals and pile them into slaughterhouses and pump drugs into them to make them grow quicker, and them put them into cages where they can't even move around properly. My vegetarianism is a protest against 21st century farming, oppression and imprisonment of animals - Not a hunter-gatherer lifestyle that the Indians and other indigenous cultures would have participated in.

You're other comment is also retarded. Even if tribes were fighting each other before Europeans came they didn't do it to the extent where one tribe took over the entire continent. There is definitely a difference between the large scale aggressiveness that European settlers brought over to North America (and other settled countries) to the inter-tribal fights that indigenous cultures would have been involved in.
