MOST IMPORTANT vacume to prevent fires: any outlet or power strip laying flat on the floor (vacume -- dust accumulates and will start a fire); your dryer vent/filters; vacume the back of your TV and computer also.
Big ones:
The phone, your computer keyboard, doorknobs, light switches -- those are the major transmitters of disease. Clean those when your roommates are sick and you go a long way toward NOT getting ill yourself. If you have kids, their toys.
Lesser issues:
Tops of doorways, under & behind every appliance, the front of your TV and computer screens, behind drawers (often find all kinds of missing stuff as well as dirt), light fixtures and bulbs (bulbs collect dust which reduces the intesity .. and can possibly even start a fire). Under your bathroom sink. Around your hot water tank. Vacuming out under and behind your refridgerator and freezer keeps them working better....
ETC. those are just a few....
