I thought this worked before, but now Heads up display keeps defaulting to 600 even though I keep setting it to 1000. Anyway to make this "sticky"?

hmm, so I should be able to select 1000 and have it remember that setting no?

If I am mis-remembering (entirely possible since I suffer from CRS), then I'd like it to be a new feature.

You don't have to use BOB, just count those armies on your fingers and toes and you'll be just fine.

If you want to install it, go here and follow the directions:

When selecting the attack from/attack to territories, the drop-down menus are coloured to reflect who owns them.

It's a per map feature... so once you set it to 1000 on one map then it will stay at 1000 for that map.

No worries...

Note that this new version can actually change the colour of the dropdowns on the fly (unlike the previous fix)... so it's much better!!

yeti, I was looking at one of my games and noticed that when I hover over a person's name their territories are boxed. There are two different types of boxes though, one a solid box and one a pair of brackets []. I was wondering what the difference is between the two different types of boxes, if there is a difference.

Yep there is a difference...

The ones that look like [ ] are "safe" territories...

This means that they don't border an enemies territories...

This also works for teammates (i.e. those territories may border team mates but not enemies)...

One small note though - I haven't gotten round to updating these to ensure that they work for territories that can be bombarded.

Can screenshots be manipulated so that one will automatically be taken when a game is initialized? I imagine not, because BOB only accesses the information when you open the game.

Suggestion, I'm too lazy to search through the thread to see if it's been suggested, but what about the possibility of a point calculator?

Part of BOB that reads in the opponents ranks, and your teams (or just you), and calculates the points made by winning or lost by losing.

It shouldn't be too hard, from what I'd think, and it'd be nice :)

A variation - namely using the player scores - has been suggested before.

The reason that can't be done is that BOB gets all its information from the game page and player scores aren't shown on the game page. And BOB can't "go to" other pages to get the player scores.

To calculate the points just from ranks - as you suggest - would be possible since the rank icon is on the page, but it would be so inaccurate as to be meaningless.
The best that could be done would be to use an average score for each rank - say 1350 for sergeant (the midpoint) and 1500 for sergeant first class (the midpoint again).
If I'm a sergeant and you're a sergeant first class it could be that I have 1399 and you have 1400 points.
Or it could be that I have 1300 and you have 1599.

Either way I think you'll see that any estimate provided by BOB wouldn't be of much use.

Keep coming up with the ideas though :) !!

Just a quick note to mention that...

After a long absence - the "Help/Info" is back on track...

With a massive bit of help from Cicero (who has been compiling it) it is now complete and upto date with the latest version...

Muchos beers to Cicero.

Actually, to be honest, I would love to have an estimate. Regardless of inaccuracies, I hate not knowing how much it is, and usually I'm too lazy to go and do it all manually (Takes a while, especially with like a triples team).

Whether it's worth the programming time... I can't say. If it's not difficult, I would think an estimate would be welcome, based on approximations of the midpoint using the scores. It won't be terribly far off, though deviations are to be expected.
