wins again 17 out of 17 wins, not bad going for the young bloke. i think a shot at the world title will not be to far away.

I give him a little more time to develop still....obviously hes talented and theres isnt a huge rush, but look at andy lee. He was more of a slam dunk than khan and he got beat on a bad night.

i am concerned that they are concentrating on bulking him up too fast, to the detriment of his speed. granted he is very naturally swift but if he becomes muscle-bound he'll lose impact as well as pace.

anyway, the lad has got 'it'! I feel he has the correct blend of mental and physical attributes. it is just possible that he will be 'great' ; a multi weight champion in the mold of the great US champs.

I think a lot of times its hard to get a great feel for some of the fighters that are from the UK. Its hard to transition into the American scene right now (and it might really not be that lucrative to do so). Still if you dont fight in America its very rare to avoid the discussion about being overrated or that you are ducking fighters. Look at the careers of calzaghe and hatton over the years, for a long time people did not think they were very good at all in America, and for Joe Cal it was really only until he beat jeff lacy, and this after he had put in double digit defenses of his belts.

So im not too sure where to fall on Khan...hes talented for certain but i think the jury probably will still be out on him for a few years. Im not sure he will make it that far.

i understand where your coming from Tonk and you're right he has to fight a decent fighter over in the States. i think that is a couple of years down the line though.

I agree completly, there really isnt a need to rush him along. Let him win the titles as he goes over there, and then he can challenge for some world belts against some of the top guys in Europe and the US.
