well, in that case, here's ten more random songs from my top rated...

Labi Siffre - I Got The... (you might recognize the second half of the song as having been sampled in an Eminem travesty)

Beck - Mutherfuker

Dr. Dre - Big Ego's

Smashing Pumpkins - Home (you can download Machina II for free from smashingpumpkins.com)

Howlin' Wolf - How Many More Years

Metallica - The Call of Ktulu

At the Drive-In - Quarantined

She Wants Revenge - I Don't Wanna Fall In Love

Interpol - Leif Erikson

Jedi Mind Tricks feat. GZA - On The Eve of War [Julio Cesar Chavez Mix]

----

absolutely look up Howlin' Wolf -- to truly appreciate the roots of rock and roll, everyone should be familiar with his work. his best of collection has practically every song that other artists have covered repeatedly, as well as the songs that Led Zepplin egregiously lifted from (Lemon Song in particular)

and with Metallica, you really should only bother with the albums released prior to the Black Album. they jumped the shark with that one -- it's still decent, but nothing compared to the brilliance of Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, or ...And Justice for All

Who rates their songs? Why would you need to? I think my memory is well enough to remember what type of music I like.

yo, i had a sticker on my bicycle for a long time that said in a cool font: ON A STEEL HORSE I RIDE.

i thought that was awesome. but not really cause of the song, cause riding a bike in the city is a wicked rush and only badasses do it.

I am not sure which urge is stronger, the urge to laugh, or the one to hit you if I ever meet you in real life.

oh, i'm actually completely serious about that. if the frame hadn't gotten too fubar to keep anymore, i'd still have that bike, with that kickass sticker.

and i'm also dead serious about how awesome it is riding a bicycle through town. i love it. it's probably different were you live, out west. the development out there would have been too autocentric to make apparent the benefits of a bicycle travel. bike is the fastest form of travel, within Philadelphia. plus, it is a complete rush, good exercise, and hip.

there's a huge subculture of cyclists in Philly. bike messenger chic, as i like to call it.

NYC is bicyclist. And I use "-ist" in a way that is analogous to the "-ist" in "racist"
