Is it legal in other countries by any chance?

I thought it was an awesome band.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

I have my permit to carry.

Don't use it very often, unless I'm traveling around with a lot of money in my pocket.

Well, I, and nearly everyone else that I know, carry around pocket knives. They tend to come in handy quite often.

oh, and to my fellow Americans who love guns. (don't leave home without it!)

i've got a tip for traveling internationally. get a cowboy hat.

no joke. a professor i did some research work for in college was quite the world traveler, and after a close call in Haiti, one of the locals told him to get a cowboy hat.

apparently in a lot of third world countries (i know, not the best word to use to describe them, but you know what i mean), people assume that Americans wearing cowboy hats are armed and dangerous, a la Clint Eastwood and John Wayne movies.

of course, here in the states, people would assume i'm brokeback mountain wearing a cowboy hat in a major city -- i'm just talking about international travel.

and back to the topic at hand -- i prefer not to carry a gun. in my experience, it's better to carry oneself tall and call in the cavalry if necessary.

hold on a second while I oven my three inch blade?

gimme a break.

I keep one in the chamber and there is no safety on my gun... just a heavier hammer when its not cocked.

As a tool, not a weapon. Besides, I can take knives and guns away, and doing some unnecessary damage to your forearm, upper arm, shoulder, ribs, and neck. Why? Because I felt like it.

proper use of a gun would have you face down at not closer than 7 feet away... close that gap... and I shoot.

I'm a pretty good shot for a 16yo... My pop bought me 3 guns.. though i wasnt allowed the shotty till i was 18 ;_; My 9mm and other handgun were awesome, Don't get in my way ;] I have a gun licence and everything. But seeing as i fought with my nan, i am no longer allowed to touch the guns, as they are at their house in the lock ups. GHEY

I carry a GLOCK 27....when I'm off-duty. If I wasn't a police officer, & had a duty to act off-duty as well as on, I don't think I would carry a gun. I live in Florida now where freakin' everyone has a gun, which changes things....but if I was back in New Hampshire or Massachusetts? ....I made it through 27 years without needing a gun to protect myself, so I probably wouldn't bother. My 2 cents.
