kleep wrote:I am kind of into 40k. I play as Tau. The problem with the game is it is too much collecting/crafting and not enough playing. It is ridiculous the prices they charge for a model standing 2 in. tall. They need to make pre-painted, pre-assembled pieces in a big box for like 100 bucks, with every single thing you need for one army. If they had done that from the start, I guarantee Warhammer would be much more popular and fun.
no, you spend a lot of time on your heroes or leaders, or anything that stands alone. anything that stands with 10's or 20's of others does not need the effort. you get the general feel of them being a unit by some broad, consistent colouring and they still look fine.static_ice wrote:A quick question from someone who's only heard others talk about it: is it really necessary to paint every single figurine so meticulously?
