I noticed an odd feature last game when I eliminated an opponent. Before the elimination, I had 3 cards and the opponent had 3 cards, such that once I eliminated the other player, I held 6 cards. Therefore, I was able (and forced) to cash-in a set immediately, which makes sense. However, once I cashed that set in, I was left with another possible set to cash. Though I was not FORCED to cash it in, I was given the option to cash it in. This seems bizarre to me, since, as far as I know, the rationale for allowing - and, indeed - forcing a player to cash-in immediately after eliminating another player is that "[y]ou cannot accumulate more than 5 cards, therefore there may be a mid-turn cashing in of sets after eliminating an opponent" (taken from the How to Play Section of the Instructions on CC). It also seems incongruent with the rule that an individual CANNOT cash-in a set immediately after eliminating someone if they hold less than 5 cards after the elimination (since the individual who had 6 cards and cashed-in 3 would be in the exact same position as the player who had the 3 cards to start with after eliminating someone).
Therefore, I propose changing this rule so that an individual can ONLY cash-in the number of sets that leaves them with less than 5 cards. So, for instance, if an individual had 6 cards, he could only cash-in once (and, indeed he would have to). However, if an individual had 8 cards after an elimination, he would be allowed 2 cash-ins (and, indeed he would have to), since the first would only bring him down to 5 cards.
