OMG I feel so bad for laughing... she made the worst noises...
that's old. a couple years, i think.
i laughed until i cried the first time i saw it, then you find out and feel bad.
just like the japanese news accident. the part that made me laugh the first time was watching the reporters' reaction at home base. but she broke a hip, so that's unfortunate.
but just remember, one man's tragedy can be to the observer, a comedy.
Mel Brooks wrote about this. used the example of the funniest thing in the entire world, the image of a man walking down the street reading a newspaper and falling into an open manhole cover.
funniest thing in the world, right?
but it costs the city to get the guy out, and he might've broken a leg or something.
tragedy = comedy
depending on your POV
kind of like getting rickrolled. it was a tragedy for you to be forced to watch it, especially if it was at work and you have no control over your speakers (i know i've done it to someone by now) -- but to me, that is as pure a hilarious comedy as i can think of, imagining you all getting rickrolled.
sad how small and sad such a prank really is, but i don't think i could get away with anything really crazy anymore. nothing bigger than what i did as a kid.
so i guess this is as good as it gets. rickrolling people on the internet. and not even getting to watch their reaction, just read about it.
where's my shotgun? i'm gonna go sit in the tub.
